The same talented directors stick to the same claustrophobic concept in REC 2, but find new means of transferring fear from the screen to the spectator through the recording lens.
It has been just 15 minutes after authorities lost contact with the people locked in the building under quarantine. Nobody knows what happens inside. Outside is chaos...a SWAT unit enters the interior of the house to monitor the situation and determine what is happening. A seemingly quick and easy task. But everyone knows. Sometimes appearances can be deceiving...

this movie looks so awsome. it puts me in mind of "Quarentine" in the way it was shot. in Quarentine, a news crew shot a report on a building where a virus was making people act crazy and attack others in the building. this one seems like a sequal to it. is it a sequal?

Yes it is sequel. I saw the first few minutes and it takes a very different direction than the first one.

Sort of unrealistic imo, trained swat team members should be able to take down undead in a narrow hallway, just shoot strait and you knock them out

(This contains a SPOILER ALERT)REC 2 is pretty awesome! A blisteringly intense and horrific sequel that directly follows events from the previous picture. The startling reveal of the rabid monsters being victims of demonic possession instead of a virus was a simple yet brilliant turn in the story. Although I like the original REC a little more(I prefer the original's slower build of the story and characters), I strongly recommend this movie. This is one of those rare sequels that was worth making and truly delivers!

Been Awhile, BUt I'm still Alive
