This is George Romero we are talking about here. Dawn and Day were not rated. Land was from Universal, a major player. George must not have had the greatest experience with them if he resorted back to the tiny budget of Diary. George is 100% artist, 0% artisan. He will not compromise his visions for the security of a major studio. Its all very big business, so dont be surprised if it plays in 18 theaters nationwide.

thats why this guy is my hero. he never gives in to the presures of big business. he stays true to who he is and what he believes. i do hope my town is one of the 18 or so theaters.

Na, I doubt it will be theatrical. Never saw Diary of the Dead in any theaters around my pad. Surely the the same with Survival...

oh lord that movie sucked...was romero havinga bad day?!
it all just felt like a rehash of every bad zombie flick ever made.
i love romero's other movies..i even own land of the dead.
but that flick must have left his ass hole burning!

i dont know red. i thought the movie was pretty decent. it wasn't one of his crowning achievments. but it was a decent movie. it was heart breaking to see it never made it to the movie theaters though. i was so hoping to see it there on the big screan first. but when i found out when my local walmart was getting it, i made sure i bought the first copy sold. reason i know i was the first was because i got an inside source that lets me know when they stock a new zombie movie be it day or night. lol. the girl has a crush on me.

i liked Zombieland. but being the master of zombie horror was not involved, it will NEVER hold a candle to Diary of the Dead. George Romero ROCKS!!

true. i did notice there was a shortage of zombies in Zombieland. but what makes Zombieland a must have for me is when Bill Murray got hit with a 12 gauge round dead center of the chest. the look on his face made me laugh hard. almost as hard as when my 2 idiot best friends were in a cow field playing "pass the cowchip" and when the one guy caught it, the thing exploded and it was still soft and stinky inside. old dude ralphed and i laughed till i almost ralphed. lol. i told them they didnt wanna play that game. lol.
