this is how i been planning ahead for Z-Day. i got a lot of what i need for the apocolypse if it were to hit in the next few days.

First survivors will be fine except for STDs and the flu and different types of bacteria,but the next generation of those survivors(if they live long enough to have kids)will be prone to every disease that a vaccine was made for like smallpox and polio.

there is always one thing you can count on when a civilization falls to its knees in a blaze of glory. and thats a Black Market of some kind or another. i feel things like antiboitics and vaccines will be in the hands of the Black Marketeers and ilk of the like. so as a result, i think that even the next generation stands a certain amount of chance here. however when the Black Market runs out of these goodies is when we will have our problems with diseases and what not.
