Of course a vintage throw back to WWII would be killer, if they kould stand up to modern settings

the materials that are in the ones like the RUSSIAN M41, the USA MADE M9/M9A1, and the CANADIAN M96 would hold up in a NCB attack with no problem. but woithout the right filters, one would be dead in a heart beat. the RUSSIAN M41 has the 40mm threads already, so all one would need is a NCB filter like this to use.

now for the USA MADE M9/M9A1 or the CANADIAN M69, those have the old style 60mm threadings. so under normal circumstances, these masks would be usless against a NCB threat. but with a 40mm adapter like this one. they can still be used.

what is a major concern to me is the ones who are using the WWI issue RUSSIAN SMS SNORKEL type for an NCB protector that worries me. when i did my research on all these mask types. i found the RUSSIAN SMS SNORKEL type to be the most dangerous to rely upon. reason being is these were discontinued right after WWI and NONE of the components are safe or even available except when sold as a holloween costume item at military surplus stores. and whats worse is the capitalist owners of these shops are preying on the poor working mans fear for his life and the lives of his family, and telling people that these are more then able to save their lives when all they will do is add to the body count.

when i saw this i had to warn everyone here and try to fix the problem and or damage. by the way, for the masks like the USA MADE M9/M9A1 and the CANADIAN M69, i will be selling the adapters for these masks as well as the newer up to date military/police models. now i admit the newr models (even though i will be selling wholesale) will seem expesive. but like all things i post in the ALAMO TRADING POST, prices include S&H charges.

just an off the cuff comment (i don't know where it came from maybe cause i'm still half asleep) but the orange i guess adapters look like really bad and unedible donuts if you squint your eyes... just saying

brother. i got some news for you that you will like. first i found out that the mask you are wearing is not an M5. what you are wearing is an is the RUSSIAN MADE M41 GAS MASK and it does have 40mm threading. this means the regular filter that came with your mask is only good against tear-gas and pepper sprays. however it will take and accept the newer NCB NATO APPROVED filters. so if you get an NCB filter then you will be safe that way.
