YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!
By Adam Dodd on May 27, 2016
Five years ago, the Internet blew up because of a trailer for a video game about zombies. That game was Dead Island, and though the game or its mixed bag of pseudo-sequels and spin-offs has never been able to match that emotionally devastating reveal trailer, it’s still absolutely worth celebrating with an orchestral tribute like this. Enjoy.
Eins Medien, Kai Schumacher (Piano), Beril Sun (Violin 1), Tonja Demianenco (Violin 2), Amélie Legrande (Viola), Emanuel Wehse (Cello) comprise the enormous talent that’s on display in this video, and they’re all members of team Dynamedion.
This is a pretty neat way of reminding us about the Dead Island Definitive Collection that releases next Tuesday (May 31) for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Included in the $39.99 bundle is the original Dead Island, Dead Island: Riptide — which is not included on the disc if you’re getting it for PS4 — and a brand new 2D arcade brawler called Dead Island: Retro Revenge.
Here’s the original trailer again, in case you’d fancy another viewing.
Gets me every time. Every. Goddamn. Time.

i REALLY WANTED TO PLAY THIS WHEN i FIRST SAW THE TRAILER. Then once I got the game and played it, I found out that the trailer and the storyline were so different, that neither one really complimented the experience. No, it wasn't the gameplay or what little storyline there was in the game. It was the never ending line of you always having to do quest after quest after quest and if you failed to do one or screwed up the order in which you had to do the damn things in, you were stuck in limbo...I played this game for a week and had to restart the damn thing because of some quest I forgot to do and it locked the game to where I couldn't go any further and no matter how much I tried to figure out the quest I forgot, even using a full youtube walkthrough, it still locked the game down to where I could not advance it...So I ended up having to restart the damn thing from beginning got to where I had to spell out S O S with luggage...I finished that damn quest and the game locked down again and couldn't move the storyline any further because I didn't kill the main boss at the luggage sight before finishing the spelling of S O S...I killed it after and the game locked down...SO when Riptide and all other Dead Island games came out, I left them alone...After three and a half weeks of fighting and trying to progress the main game and always having it lock down the storyline because I did something different then what the developers planned out in the game...
I LOVED the video and was kind of hoping that they would come out with a full Dead Island CGI movie that contained the Original Dead Island trailer...I think that would be totally badass there...But my views of the games have been totally hindered because of the PS3 Dead Island Game lockdowns that kept me from enjoying the game....

Greetings Everyone, Well it's been awhile. As things go, life carries us all in different directions from time to time but you always find your way home sooner or later. Well, life ain't all fun and games, but right now, things are going good. I have restarted my writing on my book again, and as I learn more about about some of the ROle-playing games I have gotten into, I am seriously thinking about rying to create an actual Zombie Survival Role-playing game. But have not set any time…
