YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!

Ilya Naishuller’s first-person actioneer Hardcore Henry, which is “filled to the brim with holy shit moments,” is opening this Friday.
Even though the trailer is off-the-wall insane, this clip is truly the first taste of what you can expect in Hardcore Henry. In the clip, District 9‘s Sharlto Copley gives chase to the enemy as the title character unloads an automatic weapon, and drops a grenade into a van. This is the exact vibe of the film from start to finish…
Hardcore Henry‘s producers include Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted, Night Watch).
“Strap in. Hardcore Henry is one of the most unflinchingly original wild-rides to hit the big screen in a long time: You remember nothing. Mainly because you’ve just been brought back from the dead by your wife (Haley Bennett). She tells you that your name is Henry. Five minutes later, you are being shot at, your wife has been kidnapped, and you should probably go get her back. Who’s got her? His name’s Akan (Danila Kozlovsky); he’s a powerful warlord with an army of mercenaries, and a plan for world domination. You’re also in an unfamiliar city of Moscow, and everyone wants you dead. Everyone except for a mysterious British fellow called Jimmy (Sharlto Copley.) He may be on your side, but you aren’t sure. If you can survive the insanity, and solve the mystery, you might just discover your purpose and the truth behind your identity. Good luck, Henry. You’re likely going to need it…”
Danila Kozlovsky, Haley Bennett, Andrey Dementyev, Dasha Charusha, and Sveta Ustinova star.

this is going to be so wicked i can hardly stand it. this might be one of the rare films i will actually go out to a cinema to see. this plays like a first person shooter brought to glorious life and i can only hope the whole film is at least a tenth as awesome as this trailer makes it look.
heres a review for this awesome pov film.
I was extremely lucky to catch the World Premiere of Ilya Naishuller’s first-person actioneer Hardcore Henry when it screened in the Midnight Madness portion of the Toronto International Film Festival last September.
What I saw was a new kind of action film, starring District 9‘s Sharlto Copley, that was “filled to the brim with holy shit moments,” and puts viewers into the shoes of John McClane, Ellen Ripley, Jason Bourne, and even James Bond.
The pic takes place from the POV of Henry, who’s resurrected from death with no memory. He must discover his identity and save his wife from a warlord with a plan to bio-engineer soldiers.
Here’s some bits from my review, which can be read by clicking the above link:
As a concept it’s a bit gimmicky, but the mysterious plot and vibrant characterizations of both Jimmy and Akan keep you mentally checked in just long enough for the next “holy shit” moment.
And for a movie called ‘Hardcore Henry,’ it delivers on its promise. Naishuller blasts the audience with one of the most bloody and violent movies in the history of cinema, but manages to keep it fun (even when heads are being ripped apart).
‘Hardcore Henry’ is both the past and future of filmmaking.
Hardcore Henry is now in theaters everywhere. I recommend sitting in the back row to avoid getting motion sickness…
I play a lot of FPS games, yes it would be awesome to see the action from the FPV during the action, but DOOM tried the same thing and it flopped majorly...I don't know...I'll go see it with the boys, but I'm really not to impressed...Hell, they strapped a GoPro Cam to the head of an actor...You can see that all over YouTube from Black Ops paintball facilities and stuntmen throughout...BUt I'll give it a chance....MAYBE!!!! (LOL)
you see i disagree the only good parts of doom were the pov especially the last scene at the end that replicated the game. if they had made that the whole movie it would have been amazing. i would hope the filming was a little more complicated then just strapping a go pro to the actors head. i think this has a lot of potential and all the trailers I've seen of it make it looks amazing. i just hope it has a decent plot to go along with the action. doesn't have to be the notebook quality but just something to put the action into perspective would be good.
Like I said, I'll give it a chance because the kids want to see it...But I'm not expecting to much...I could see intergrating that type of action view during an action scene, but a whole movie, I can't see it...Plus every trailer I have seen the main actor has no dialogue...But like I said, I'll give it a chance...Just keeping low expectations....
hey always fun to be pleasantly surprised right. also you were right hey did just use go pros
LOL
at least they rigger up a fancy head peace for it and not just the head band it comes with.
Just watched Hardcore Henry, DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY SEEING IT IN THEATERS!!!!!!!!!!!
Last night me and the boys found Hardcore Henry on 123Movies, so during supper we decided to watch it. I actually found myself before hand wanting to like this movie, but upon viewing it, this movies totally blows...
1: The character is basically a cyborg.
2: The main character has no dialogue.
3: One of the supporting actors has a shit load of different parts. Which you'll figure out within like 10 minutes how he's so many different characters.
4: All the action you see in the trailers, that's it.
5: The villain in the movie is something straight out of some two bit sewer X-men reject of Professor X with the sexuality of 16 year old, which did nothing to add to this weak film.
6: There are so many Call of Duty references within this movie, they should have just named it Call of Duty.
7: I've seen better GoPro camera work on YouTube then this movie. Hell, just go to YouTube and look at some of the "So-Called" Call of Duty re-enactments and you'll have the whole premise of this entire movie.
8: DO NOT LET KIDS UNDER 10 WATCH THIS!!!!
9: They tried this stuff in the movie Doom, but even then it failed to impress the masses. I am sorry to say, as a HUGE fan of action movies, I will not waste my time or money in purchasing this film.
I actually thought about it before I watched the movie and was like this movie should actually be pretty cool. Specially seeing a lot from the main characters point of view. But there was no way to see or tell the responses he had to the situations that placed in front of him. The main character had no dialogue and you couldn't tell whether he was pissed off or sad or whatever his emotions were throughout the whole movie. The emotions and the facial expressions and the interacting of the main character within a storyline is what brings us into the movies. If they are going to take the emotions and interaction between characters out of the movie industry, then we all better start stocking up on the DVD and Blu-rays that are out there now.
I tried to find something I liked about this movie, but every time I look at my Call of Duty games, all I can think is they needed to leave that movie on the straight to DVD list...A multi-million dollar flop...
I did however find the musical interlude to be kind of nice...(LOL)
wow well thats sucks another great premise ruined oh well, this why im more into alternative media now anyway.
Sorry Bro,
I mean you might like it, I mean my opinion is like assholes and elbows, everyone has one...(LOL)
I'm just saying don't waste your money in purchasing a ticket to see it...End up paying like $30 to $45 bucks at a theater and walking out feeling you have been screwed...
Now the action sequences were like cool, but I felt there was something missing throughout the whole movie...I feel without the response and the heart the actor presents with the role was lost...I felt the passion for telling a coherent story was pretty much lost without the reactions from the main character...
I'll tell everyone NOT to waste money on seeing it, but find another way to view the movie...

Greetings Everyone, Well it's been awhile. As things go, life carries us all in different directions from time to time but you always find your way home sooner or later. Well, life ain't all fun and games, but right now, things are going good. I have restarted my writing on my book again, and as I learn more about about some of the ROle-playing games I have gotten into, I am seriously thinking about rying to create an actual Zombie Survival Role-playing game. But have not set any time…
