Wicked Zombies

YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!

This video makes some interesting arguments for out love affair with zombies, and while lately that love has seamed to diminish. If its true that zombies, or at least the latest incarnation of them, are really a metaphor for our fear of technology. Then what Does it mean for them as we move past it and become more excepting of the changes in technological progress. Will zombies change to embody a new or old fear. or will they simple decay into the realm of jokes before finally go to that place where old pop culture and memes go to die.

My love for the Zombie genre will never change...It's been part of my life and will stay a part of my life till I'm dead...Just like vampires, werewolves and other monster movies, they all have died down in the movie industry...BUt they always come back, bigger and better and then die down again...I'm not sure if I agree with some of the point this guy mentioned, but hey, everything has its time and then fades off a little and then explodes once more sometime down the road....

i agree i think zombies will always be around they are one of the core monsters even going so far as to invade no horror genera like scifi. The Borg from star trek. the daleks and cyber men from doctor who, even the body snatches from invasion of the body snatchers. Are all different versions of zombies, some high tech some alien. An collective group  that actively seeks to target other beings, strip them of their humanity and individuality, while similarly making them into something else, something less but still part of a larger collective. Is in my opinion a zombie. so i guess the real question is, What will be the next incarnation of the zombie? Will it still be the reanimated flesh as we know it, or will it change into one of these other types. and will we recognize it when we see it?

what do you think about this jess i found it very interesting.

If you go on Netflix, there's a documentary, Wes Craven and other horror film makers  basically said everything this guy said...We're always going to fear something, whether it's technology, economical collapse, disease or whatever the unknown holds out there...Monsters are always going to symbolize something to someone somewhere...I just think that as things change, so will monsters and their meanings...Look at the way vampires were portrayed back when we were growing up...Fierce, blood lusting and horrible creatures...Then Twilight came out and turned vampires into these sparkling people who look beautiful...

If we looked at the changes we made as a people during the time between lets say The Lost Boys compared to Twilight. I feel that those changes that happened between the social and the technical world changed to how people, (other then the true horror fan), wanted to see their monsters....

Here, I got one better...Back when I used to go to church, every Sunday the preacher would rain fire and brim stone down those inside the church...Now, if you go to church now, (I went one time because of the boys wanted me to go), the preacher is so scared in offending someone that it's all flowers, streets of gold and love...So now churches have went from being the hard cowboy to the fun and loving hippie...

No monster will full die out...Just like our fears won't die out of the unknown...But as the future rolls in, people will change with it...Just like our monsters...

But I don't watch these movies to find hidden messages or symbolism...But I guess I'm like that....(ROFLMAO)

neither do i but its fun to think about some times when watch yet another head explode gets a little tedious. as The man who started it all Romero likes to say.

Yeah, I just hate to think about things like that...It really opens up the voices in my head and I hate listening to them...Specially that little squeaky voice that's afraid of everything...Wish I could kill that damn voice...(LOL)

let the voice in my friend, its good for you. Just dont listen to the the red box one, unless you want to end up wearing red spandex butchering the multiverse with katana's. good luck getting that reference i am that much of a geek.

Been Awhile, BUt I'm still Alive

Greetings Everyone,    Well it's been awhile. As things go, life carries us all in different directions from time to time but you always find your way home sooner or later. Well, life ain't all fun and games, but right now, things are going good. I have restarted my writing on my book again, and as I learn more about about some of the ROle-playing games I have gotten into, I am seriously thinking about rying to create an actual Zombie Survival Role-playing game. But have not set any time…
