my new mask
hey guys long time no see. feels like I've been away forever, life and all that getting in the way far to much. well i plan on coming back here and doing more things again. getting evolved in conversations and even making new videos. now its for the videos that i have brought up this little discussion. now as all who know me know, I'm shy. i dont like to show my face on the internet, which is why you will always see me in a mask. but my old one is well old and rather crappy. i want to start fresh here and i can't think of a better way to symbolize this rebirth if you will, then with a brand new mask. I've actually been wanting to do this for a while now and i think I've finally come up with a good enough design to move on.
i want a full face mask this time and i want it to incorporate great passion for anime and of course my absolute love of zombies. i think what i have come up does a good job of both with out being to overwhelming on either. now while i have the main layout down i do have choice to make i hope you all can help me with. I'm going for basically a faceless look. this means a rounded and smooth mask with no nose or mouth features. but this leaves me with what to do for the eye holes. i could do the traditional holes making it easy to see but ruining the look. or i could make it with out holes meaning i would need some see threw only from one way kinda material. that I'm sure is out there but maybe hard for me to find. since i plan on making this mask myself.
anyway I've made a little mock of what both styles would look like and you guys tell me which one you like better. and also if you like the whole direction I'm going in or not. with out anymore words i ask you, eyes or no eyes?

yeah I'm gonna do it right now. its a little cold but i don't think it should effect the drying time to much.

yeah 41's not great. the minimum your suppose to do is 50. maybe I'll leave a heater next to it to help the drying time.

got the first two coats down, so far it has not been cold enough to keep it from drying.

so i got all the coats of paint on and this is what the mask looks like, the paint still a little tacky at this point.
and this is what the almost finished product looks like, with the graphics applied.
now this is where i ran into a little trouble. i didn't want to have to wait until tomorrow when the paint would be full dry to add the stickers. after all it was dry to the touch, little tacky but no big deal. or so i thought but after applying the fist sticker i noticed this.
it seams my haste in not letting the paint dry caused it to interact with the adhesive on the sticker of maybe the ink. this caused some weird yellow staining around the stickers. and some bleeding through of the edge of the stickers themselves. lucky the graphics aren't in to bad a shape. i just gotta touch up the paint that turned, maybe with some white out.
all and all happy with the mask just wish i had waited, oh well I'm a rash person. X P

okay its just the stickers. the colors tend to bleed if you rub it to hard. needs clear coat but i was going to do that already.

Now I have to give you a ton of credit your mask is professional looking. I would buy it if I saw it at the mall.

Been Awhile, BUt I'm still Alive
Greetings Everyone, Well it's been awhile. As things go, life carries us all in different directions from time to time but you always find your way home sooner or later. Well, life ain't all fun and games, but right now, things are going good.
