YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!

This was going to be a reply to a comment on the topic of  Fishing without fishing gear...I was replying to Komrad'z Gas Mask Killer statement  and I qout, "Reply by Komrad Gas Mask Killer☭

Fishing with out any fishing gear is a necessary way of life in a undead world. Now lets hope and pray the water is not toxic."
Now as I was replying to Gassie's response, it actually grow into a full on discussion topic...So here we go...
The first 5 maybe 10 years after the outbreak and we are living in the world of the dead I don't think we'll have to worry about water being toxic or much of the wildlife being contaminated to the point we would all starve to death...But after about 5, maybe 10 years top we will be facing one man-made catastrophe that could actually end the world...But once the safe guards of the nuclear power plants begin to fail and the fail safes on factories begin to fail that's the beginning of our toxic water worries...See, I think we would survive for awhile, but once the nuclear power plants core safe guards begin to fail, it won't be long before they're leaking their radioactive trash and once critical failure hits, then that's when the plants will explode...That's not even including all the factories in the U.S. that sit near or even use our water supply...

We have exactly 62 nuclear power plants in 31 states, with 35 of them, which is over half of the total plants and some having more then 2 nuclear reactors...Which brings the total to around 100 nuclear reactors running at once...Now if the fail safes end up failing and all 62 nuclear reactors went into meltdown, I think over half, if not all of the U.S.A would be destroyed, let alone all the radiation in the air now would kill those who survived the initial explosions...So, those who would most likely to survive the first of the nuclear explosions would be the following:

   Montana

   Idaho

   Nevada

   Utah

   Wyoming

   North Dakota

   South Dakota

   Colorado

These are the few states that not only DO NOT have a nuclear power plant, but they are also the furthest from the number of plants around the U.S.

If you want to see what I am talking about, go to the link below and check out the map that lets you see how many nuclear plants we have and where they are...

I can tell you right now, the entire east cost and most of the central U.S. will be wiped off the face of the earth...

   Here take a look....

http://http://www.nrdc.org/nuclear/fallout/?gclid=CMWDx9DKnL4CFYqFf...

But even if we are able to survive the destructiveness of the nuke plants explosions, it's the radiation within the atmosphere that we end up finally killing off what is left of the human population...Because our weather would become or biggest worry after the meltdowns...The winds and the rains pushing and driving every radioactive particle in the air around what would be left of the U.S. would be the killing force, which would be Mother Nature's most devastating revenge...

But just something to think about...Within the first two years we would have to figure out how or find people who know how to shutdown these plants safely in order to stop the meltdowns and even the pollution...

Yeah people never think about stuff like this. Also dont forget facilitys that store nuclear material. Their basicaly huge pools that require large pumps to keep more water flowing in to keep the material from going critical. Its just like that show earth population zero. With out proper care the things we build will destroy us. Factorys with thousands of cubic feet of gas under pressure will go bomb flooding citys with toxic cloudes. Pumps will stop working flooding any area bellow sea level. It will not be pretty.

I have often wondered about all this active nuclear power just laying around. Then there is the nuclear ICBM's and the launch keys. What's the odds of some of those falling in the wrong hands. And that's IF they don't decide to use a few as a last ditch effort to control an outbreak out of control. How's that for food for thought?

Been Awhile, BUt I'm still Alive

Greetings Everyone,    Well it's been awhile. As things go, life carries us all in different directions from time to time but you always find your way home sooner or later. Well, life ain't all fun and games, but right now, things are going good. I have restarted my writing on my book again, and as I learn more about about some of the ROle-playing games I have gotten into, I am seriously thinking about rying to create an actual Zombie Survival Role-playing game. But have not set any time…
