YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!
so while researching for my zombie hunter con costume i fell in love with post apocalyptic cosplay. everything from fallout props to original works. it's just such a cool look and you can do anything with it. it requires little money if you know how to scavenge and helps prepare all of us for what it's gonna be like after they rise. i felt wickedzombies was a good place to bring this to help expand the site. so with all that in mind I'm going to be posting cool stuff i make and design here. and if you catch the bug or maybe if you already have it then i welcome you to post your stuff here too.

hey so i found this really cool chain mail covered book from one of my favorite weir stuff sites and just love it.
problem is cool as it is, it doesn't really fit into the PA style so i was thinking how could i apocalyptic this baby up a notch cause i really want one as my bible. then it came to me pop top chain mail.
so if i replace the standard chain mail with pop top ones and use wire to bind it to the book cover instead of leather it should fit right in at the side of a viscous marauding cult leader, (thats me) ; D!
What about doing the leather cover and attaching the chain mail to the cover like you were going to do?? I think with the leather cover and sections of the leather draped with the chain mail that it would pretty bad ass...Like cover the flap with a section of mail and when the flap is opened the main cover is draped in mail that wraps around and covers half of the back of the book...Plus I think burning the hell out of the mail then taking a rag and loosely wiping the mail down would create a really bad ass look I think...
But I just had an idea when I saw the pic you posted and mentioned your chain mail idea...Think with the leather cover and the chain mail would look even more PA...
yeah i'm still going to do the leather cover with the pop top chain mail over it only the original had a lace of leather holding the chain mail on I'm going to use wire. I'm gonna use a leather bible as the base you know it will already have the leather. great idea about burning the chain mail first though.
i also got a really cool pair of goggles in the work. you know for when i don't want to wear the mask but still keep crap out of my eyes. I'm just waiting for some glue to dry and then I'll take pics. it took so long to get to this point. *spoiler alert* (i had to drill like over a hundred holes)!
okay so the glues dry and here are those goggles i was talking about.
i took a set of paintball goggles cut off a cheap mask as a base. then i drilled all those holes, with my drill, in a sheet of aluminum. cut it the shape off the goggles and glued it in place. i then partial outlined it with aluminum tape. but i kinda didn't like how it looked, so i stuck with just the top and sides and left the bottom the way it was. i need to do some weathering and few more details to make it unique. anybody got any ideas, like i don't know trimming it in fur?
and well after doing my flask a dude got me thinking about my water system I'm going to use a military canteen already got a cheap plastic one. I'll make a custom cover for it. but in the mean time i made this little thing to go along with it.
its a little glass eye dropper i had left over some herbal junk i used to keep my dog calm. i figured it would be perfect for keeping bleach in. since you know water in the wastes will be totes contaminated. i had some length of nylon ribbon so i sewed it into this cool harness for the dropper.
sweet banner bro.
What about my idea I'm using for my costume, running some kind of colored L.E.D. lighting around them so they could be used in the darkness...Something like the old alien movie lights in the helmets??
I first saw the pic of the goggles and for some reason my mind jumped to the Cylons from BattleStar Galatica...I don't know why it just did...But the goggles are pretty cool...
The metal tape doesn't look like it belongs on the goggles...But I'm sure you're not done with them yet...
As for the banner, I think it would be cool to see...You should be able to use about 2 yards worth of fabric, which translates into 6 feet, to create this...It looks kick ass...
thanks rhino.
yeah i guess i could add some kinda light somewhere just gotta make sure it looks all apocalyptic. and yeah the tap doesn't belong on the goggles. i want to trim them in something i just don't know what. and yeah I'm gonna make the banner just gotta hit up the fabric shop. pick it up along with stuff for my robe.
While you there, see if they have some fake, but soft rabbit fur hides and let me know what they want for it...I need about 10 hides, better make it 15 hides, want to cover the front of one of my shields...
I haven't been able to find any around here, plus I'm scared to look over the net for any, hate to see the price...(LOL)

Greetings Everyone, Well it's been awhile. As things go, life carries us all in different directions from time to time but you always find your way home sooner or later. Well, life ain't all fun and games, but right now, things are going good. I have restarted my writing on my book again, and as I learn more about about some of the ROle-playing games I have gotten into, I am seriously thinking about rying to create an actual Zombie Survival Role-playing game. But have not set any time…
