YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!

[tank.jpg]

i use to think we would be screwed if tank like zombies from left for dead ever showed up, but once again Joerg Sprave has saved all of our collected asses with his new muscle powered weapon. it's meant for dragons but i think it will work equally well against tank zombies and engine blocks for that mater. can you just imagine having one or more of these on your roof. the sound alone would send would be raiders running with tails between their legs and shit in their underpants.

Okay. I admit it was a good hit and even past the 10 foot range. So you win. Instead of 2 hoses. I will send you 3. That way you got some extra mobility on your cosplay air filter. Deal? Lol. But I still say the guy was born with a rubber band around his dick. Lol

sounds good to me bro!

This guy is inventive if anything.

I just wonder how much time he has on his hands with making all these weapons?

I know I wish I had the time to prep and make weapons.

well he says he works a full time job. guess he just does it all on the weekends. when you do what you love you find the time.

Actually, he wasn't the first to make this so-called Dragon Killer...I've seen this same design in many medieval books of weaponry...Granted they used pulleys and ropes, but it's not really an original design...ITS COOL!!!

well yeah he was basing it off the hobbit one, he just used rubber instead of bow limbs. and if he refines it a Little more but some kinda site on it i think it would be a devastating fortress or siege weapon. but two or three on your ruff and aint no one messing with one. or if you made it so could easily broken down and moved it would be great for taking on fortified hold up. nothing short of solid concrete gonna stop that thing. so any house on the block is fair game. but defense is where it really shines, imagine shooting that thing right through the grill of a car. even if it doesn't pierce the engine block you can say goodbye to that car.

But saying goodbye to the car is also saying goodbye to a source of transportation or a way to transport supplies...I can see what you're saying though...

but if that car is being used by your enemy to smash a load of zombies through your front gates its better to sacrifice the car. anyway how many cars do you think are in this country right now. we wont have shortage of them for awhile.

The only thing I can say about the test was it was really lopped sided...Why not make a normal size steel arrow and use the bow to try and punch a hole in the steel? Why did he use a common hollow, carbon fiber/ aluminum shaft arrow, that everyone knows would not puncture the, what was it 1/8th of inch piece of steel, while using a 60 pound bow??

Why did he not use the same type of arrow he used in his Dragon Killer? ()f course a smaller scale()...Truthfully, I think he purposely unbalances his tests...

I've seen crossbows do the same thing to car doors...We do stupid shit with a lot of our weapons in TN, from shooting busted washer and dryers with pistols to shooting old junk cars with crossbows, pistols and rifles to see what kind of damage they will, could or would do...And I've seen crossbow bolts go slam through car doors and windows and impale the store maniquins that are inside them...

I can see he went back about 15, maybe 20 yards total when he was using the car door, and his reaction from missing the car door totally wasn't one of happiness...Which means it wasn't as accurate as Rhino would like it to be...

Now you may like the idea and run with creating one for yourself, but to me and to Rhino this thing isn't that accurate and you can do the same thing with a 150 Lbs draw crossbow that is a whole lot easier to carry and a hell of a lot more accurate...

So just from my point of view of the second video, the accuracy of the Dragon Killer has failed...Because he was aiming at the door, not the window...So the accuracy in which Rhino wanted to see was not proven at 15 or 20 yards, and if you listen to him, he didn't hit his target...You could tell this not only by the dropped shoulders, but also the hollaring of "DAMN"...

It's cool, but I think you kind of failed in proving this has any form of accuracy...

The one thing you have to remember, even in the medieval times, most of the large weapons such as catapults and even this Dragon Killer (Can't remember the real name of it) was more of a shoot and pray type of weapon...With no real way of aiming these weapons for accuracy, they were what we call in videogaming terms, (Spray and Pray)...

This is a really cool looking weapon, but as far as a dependable and reliable weapon within ones arsenal, I think it would be more of a intimidating factor more then something you could rely on in battle of any form...

ballista is the word you were looking for and yes the test was lopsided that was just something he did for the tv crew. a little theatricality never hurt anyone. and i think not hitting his target had more to do with having no kind of site on the weapon. even a rifle would be shit with out a sight. and the real use for weapons like this is in taking out target a long way away. much further then a regular crossbow, at that distance it maybe spray and prey but if a giant fucking arrow rains down on you from the sky, your gonna run the other way.

Actually you stand more of a chance running towards it then from it. Reason being how big and auqard it would be and the reload time it takes. Yes you won the bet by the distance and penetration factor. But like all his rubber based weapons. The accuracy is really lacking. It was for once impressive don't get me wrong. But if it had some kind of sight on it. I feel the shot would have been more to the center of the steel plate and not to the edges even at the fist test distance. The second distance with the car door would have been way better if he had took the time to make a sight for it. Things I look for when it comes to a range weapon and it's reliability is accuracy, reliability, and power. This time I admit he showed power. But he lacked in the other two. Accuracy and reliability. Hence the unreliabity of rubber based weapons. So for me to consider this a good weapon. I can't do that. I can consider this a good toy to play with. But not something I would want in my arsenal and not something I would put my life on.

Been Awhile, BUt I'm still Alive

Greetings Everyone,    Well it's been awhile. As things go, life carries us all in different directions from time to time but you always find your way home sooner or later. Well, life ain't all fun and games, but right now, things are going good. I have restarted my writing on my book again, and as I learn more about about some of the ROle-playing games I have gotten into, I am seriously thinking about rying to create an actual Zombie Survival Role-playing game. But have not set any time…
