YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!

The Rip Stick Anti-Zombie Weapon

When bashing and crashing doesn’t work, sometimes slashing will. The Rip Stick is just as devastating as it looks, and does exactly what the name implies… rips things apart. This homemade tool makes for a more than intimidating and formidable weapon against Zombies… both living and undead. In fact, this bladed homemade weapon is great for all sorts of chopping, hacking, and slashing, but we don’t recommend using it for a shave.

Depending on the type of saw blade used (size of teeth, diameter of blade, etc.) the Rip Stick is capable of causing varying degrees and types of damage to whatever objects you may be battling.

Tools: Handsaw, clamp, 1/2″ size wrench, drill, 1/2″ drill bit, thick work gloves, and a knife (if using grip tape).

Materials: Axe Handle, 1/2″ diameter bolt with matching nut and lock-washer, circular saw blade, and grip tape (optional).

Step 1. Carefully lay the saw blade out on the handle, leaving about 1/4 of it protruding over the top of the handle. Mark the bottom edge of the blade on the handle (this will be your “cut-to” point down the middle of the handle). Mark the center hole of the blade onto the handle (this will be for the bolt used to secure the blade to the handle).

Step 2. Attach the axe handle to your workbench, and carefully drill through it using the 1/2″ bit. Make sure to do this step slowly or you risk causing unnecessary damage to the structure of the handle.

Step 3. Using your handsaw, carefully cut down the center of the handle. DO NOT cut past the mark you made earlier on the side of the handle.

Put on your work gloves before continuing any further in the process!

Step 4. Carefully place/wedge the saw blade into the slit you made down the center of the axe handle. If you marked and cut everything correctly, you should be able to line-up the blade with the drilled hole you made, and still maintain a tight fit.

Step 5. Secure the blade in place using the bolt, nut, and lock-washer combo you set aside at the beginning. Be careful not to over-tighten the bolt or you may split the handle.

Step 6 (OPTIONAL). While a axe handle is designed for great body mechanics, the grip can be improved upon. By adding a bit of grip tape you’ll not only improve the look, but you’ll make each swing much more securely.

If swung with skill, this devastating homemade Anti-Zombie device could easily save your life; if misused or not treated with the proper respect it could easily take it. The Rip Stick is not a toy, and EXTREME CAUTION should be taken when making and/or using it. Never treat a tool or weapon as a plaything, and always wear the appropriate protective gear.

i would be worried about the blade breaking off. good weapon for last resort though.

i would like to see a concrete saw blade on one of these. because just look its like its got razor blades welded to it. if it can  cut through cement like it's not even there just imagine what it will do to a stinker.

sure as hell might make the club last longer. lol

YEAH I GOTTA MAKE ONE OF THESE.

Made my own version of this using an aluminum baseball bat and the saw blade...

the aluminum bat idea would make this way stronger.

yeah but don't underestimate the wooden handle. I've been using the handle from a pix axe as a bat for years no damage to what I've taken to calling the 'zed-cracker'.

It's what I called the Rapture...Took me a while and its still not totally finished...I got to drill a hole and bolt the blade into place...But the blade will not turn because I was able to knock the blade down far enough to catch two places between the blades to lock it in place...SO naturally the bolt will be used just to hold it in place...

you gonna use a cement blade?

With everyone I help doing side jobs, a regular circular saw blade is a hell of a lot easier to get...I've worked with cement blades and if you like at them, they aren't really sharp blades...The tips of the blades are more of a flat edge...

It would take some sharpening to get the razor's edge that most people think the blade already has...

But I get all the skill saw or circular saw blades I want for free...If I could figure out how to make a damn saw blade spitting gun I think I would have a lot of damn fun...(LOL)

here are two designs.

those weapons that shoot the saw blades are not very accurate. kinda a crap shoot as to whether you hit a vital area or not. and when it comes to the nail guns. it would be more impressive if he stood back some distance to shoot them. say like 15 to 20 feet. he was shooting at point blank range. thats not very impressive to me.

Been Awhile, BUt I'm still Alive

Greetings Everyone,    Well it's been awhile. As things go, life carries us all in different directions from time to time but you always find your way home sooner or later. Well, life ain't all fun and games, but right now, things are going good. I have restarted my writing on my book again, and as I learn more about about some of the ROle-playing games I have gotten into, I am seriously thinking about rying to create an actual Zombie Survival Role-playing game. But have not set any time…
