YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!
through out history and up until the modern invention of reliable fire arms no weapon, whether on the hunt or in battle was more versatile or dominating then the bow and arrow. which is why it was adopted by almost every salivation and is still used today by hunters and recreational enthusiasts who know its power. in the zombie apocalypse when all modern comforts and tools are gone the bow maybe the difference between life and death. whether its securing your next meal, defending yourself from dangerous murders determined to take what little you have, or putting to rest the undead scourge. the bow proves itself with versatility and re-usability. however one of the troubles with bows lies in the manufacturing proses.it can take a skilled bow maker of many years months to make a reliable bow by hand. a novice has no hope of doing so, until now.
the pvc pipe bow can be made with minimum tools, time and from abundant resources that won't be high on anyone's horde list, except perhaps those who know. and now you can be one of them. this is a simple version but more elaborate ones with better performance and more power and draw weight can be made with only slightly more effort and a few more tools
the simple survival 40 pound version you see above was made for less then five dollars at a local homedepo. took me only 20 minuets to make and consist of only three parts. a four and half foot length of 3/4 inch schedule 40 pvc pipe. a one foot length of oak dowel (you can use a broom handle). and a length of para-cord for the bow string. throw in some wooden dowel arrows with duck tape vanes and you're ready to go. for the cost and time put in i employ everyone out there to go out and make their own and practice with it. as for how to make it i refer you to the video that taught me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LF1FseTZbrc
the slightly more advanced version you see above was made for less then 3 dollars at a local homedepo. took me only 20 minuets to make and consist of only 2 parts. a 4 foot section of 3/4 inch schedule 40 pvc heated and pent over the burner of my kitchen stove, and a length of para-cord for the bow string. the draw weight is much higher on this one then the survival version, to high but thats mostly because i screwed up when i was making it. but hey even though i messed up the design it still shoots and shoots hard. so that just goes to show how great pvc bows are. even if you don't make them right they still work. this is another design from the same guy as the survival bow video, be sure to check out his work and if you can his books on making pvc bows their great and if you don't feel like buying them like me some nice person torrent them on pirate-bay, just search the authors name. ; )

Who the fuck is bill?
dont know who Bill is. must be one of the new people. Bill needs to worry about his own bees wax and not so much that of other peoples. if forgetting the spell check key is the worst thing Saint has done. then Saint has nothing to really worry about. lol
yeah he just joined and his first post was that shit. i really hope he doesn't come back. this site doesn't need people like him, let him go to lost zombies if he wants to talk trash like that!
Bill Smith. if the idea is to provoke an arguement or cause trouble. think it over. it wont be tolerated. and before you chirp off. YES i am a mod here. saint did nothing to you. and if you dont like a post or even the spelling in the post. then dont read it. that simple. its not up to you to be the spell cop here. so lets drop it before its ugly. agreed?
thank you rhino, hey did you ever get your hat's?
hey. i forgot to tell ya. yes. i got them. they are sooo sweet.
hey how about a pic of you wearing them?
Just a small tip Saint on when shooting, make sure you cock your wrist out just a little or you're going to fillet your forearm...(L) I know, I shoot all the time out in the back of the apartment complex I live in and I still nail my forearm every now and then then...
Only reason I saw this, your last pick shows the bow string resting nicely on your wrist...So cocking your wrist, or turning your wrist slightly outward will save you the pain and bruising from the strong...
I like the way you did the snake figuration, just a little suggestion on when you do your next one, do the snake, but where your hand holds it, leave that straight for a better and more comfortable grip...
It looks damn cool though...Good job...
yeah i know early on i made that mistake my whole forearm looked like a damn eggplant. but i learned that lesson, it and to never shoot without a forearm guard. i made my own out a soda bottle and several types of tape. its actually real good.
as for the snake bow yeah i kinda fucked up that bow in general but it still shoots, and its really comfortable in the hand the way it is. kinda workers like a hammer grip slingshot. its over powered to the point i can barely draw it back but thats not always a bad thing.
You use a guard??? Cool deal on making your own...I guess I've just shot for so long I've never thought about using a guard...(LOL) But I feel ya dude...First time I shot bow, my arm looked like a ho that short changed her pimp on a friday night....(LOL) But I was forced to keep shooting, till I learned the secret...Trust me, after my arm was filleted open, I learned the secret quick...Mom came home and saw what was going on took me to the ER...I had taken off the entire first layer of skin on my forearm...Hell I thought I would have a huge scar, but Naaah...Some fucking cream that the doc gave my mom made sure there was no scar...Talk about being jipped...(ROFLMAO)
But hey, you found out the hard way just like a lot people do when firing a bow...(L)
You'll have to make a vid on how you made your arm gaurd dude....

Greetings Everyone, Well it's been awhile. As things go, life carries us all in different directions from time to time but you always find your way home sooner or later. Well, life ain't all fun and games, but right now, things are going good. I have restarted my writing on my book again, and as I learn more about about some of the ROle-playing games I have gotten into, I am seriously thinking about rying to create an actual Zombie Survival Role-playing game. But have not set any time…
