i don't know if it was funny, air powered projectiles are powerful hell they test bunkers by shoot two by fours 100 miles and hour at them with air cannons.

well, that is true enough. but you have to admit that a paint gun is quite different then a air cannon. but i do know a paint gun can hit hard. not enough to punch through a skull in my opinion. but hit hard none the less. case in hand. your gonna get a kick out of this one. me and some buddies went to a paintball range for some good old fashioned fun and games. and being it was an indoor range. we would have had it in the AC. key words would have. lol. well anyway. we were all dressed out and now we are at the one and only entrance to the range and from the range and our team was up next. well we started to load up our paintball guns. they got theirs loaded up. no biggie. well i got my paintball gun loaded. and up ended it to put the canister tank in. easy thing to do. and i got it done with no problem. until i almost dropped the paint gun. i thought i had the safety on and its a full auto paint gun. well i didnt. i caught the gun by the trigger guard and while trying to get a hold of it. somehow it went off and gave the guy who owned the range 12 solid hits to the balls within 2 seconds and it happened so fast that he couldnt cover up for any of those hits. it was at that point i could tell the man had a problem because he turned 4 shades of green while holding his balls and puked in front of the only way in or out of the range. LMAO!!! it took them about an hour and a half to get all the puke cleaned up and able to let the first group out and mine in. however the owner was not a happy man and gave us full refund just to leave the establishment. he even followed it with a "I WONT SAY NOT TO COME BACK. BUT IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE BETWEEN MY PLACE OR SOMEONE ELSES. PLEASE GO THERE." response. we still had fun though. lol. but i do get that they hit hard. i just dont think they hit hard enough to break through the skull. lol

yeah they hit hard alright and that is hilarious if someone had gotten on video I'm sure it would have been a YouTube number 1 video. and the only real difference between the paintball gun and the 2by4 shooting cannon is size and a reloading mechanism. but yeah it probably wouldn't have worked but i thought it was worth talking about.

   Yeah bashing the head to a bloody pulp would be a good idea, but what about the splattering that comes with the bashing of the head?? You could become infected because of the splattering blood...Blood could enter through your mouth or eyes...Yes I know a full face mask would solve that problem, but what if you don't have one??  What then??)  Bashing the skull to a bloody pulp wouldn't be a smart thing to do...

   Instead of bashing a head, you could just split the thing in two...It would be minimum blood splatter...I've watched a lot of videos from youtube to even some that people have made and sent to me, every time they use a club of any form, the massive splattering of blood could cause infection, no matter how careful you are...

   I like to believe that decapitation of the head and then a good boot stomp will put the end to it or even splitting the skull in two...

   (I know Rhino has a full riot face mask...(LOL)  The man with everything, everyone needs....(LOL)

thats why it's best to brake the spinal cord at the back of the neck either with a bad or a blade. you get the same effect as decapitation with the least amount of splatter. also best way to attack a zombie is from behind. avoid the fatal funnel. let the zombi come at you then when it's close enough side step to one side then continue again till your behind and in line to strike. shamblers are slow at turning so done right you will have killed it before it could even change course. a simple two side step move forming a half circle. curtsey of the zombie combat manual.

a very good book The Zombie Combat Manual. i developed a lot of my own personal moves from that book. the full face mask like Jessie pointed out is best for the splatter of a club. but its not a bad idea to have one on even using a blade of any kind. reason being even a blade no matter how sharp can give a small amount of splatter. but the moves i developed for me involve the use of a club (one of the Cold Steel models) and a plexiglass riot shield and face mask for added protection from the splatter. the approaching zombie is deflected to the left with a striking blow from the shield and then struck on the back of the neck and head for the kill when the deflection turns it around. that way it minimizes the moves i make to do the  kill in and gives me more energy to escape on if needed. sure i realize that the face mask may be overkill on protection being the shield. but better to have and not need then to need and not have.

oh know it is necessary you have to keep that blood out of your face. i mean imagine if everyone in 28 days later had worn goggles and a dust mask. the father would have still been alive. it was stupid that they didn't given how infectious the rage virus was. and in fact the girl and the first guy did wear goggles and masks when they picked up Michel but after that you never see them again. what's up with that? and it's cool you got a real riot shield but i like my tombstone. you know with a stun gun and some aluminum tape you could turn that shield into a stun shield for human attackers, and maybe zombies too.

   Even breaking the spinal cord really won't put an end to a zombie, only the total destruction of the head. Which means a good boot stomp, splitting the skull or bashing the zombies head in will be the only way to fully stop them...

   The breaking of the spinal cord will stop the body, but the head is still snapping...And we are basing the same basics in which kills a living human to the living dead...But we have to remind ourselves, they might have some of the same movements or actions which are slower, but the only way to put a zombie down will be destroying the brain...

   I can see how taking a leg or arms or the breaking of the spine will slow a zombie down, so you can move in for the finishing move, but to kill a zombie, you are going to have to totally destroy the brain....So I don't see how just the breaking of the spinal cord will kill a zombie...Maybe the living, but not the dead...

i never said it would it just neutralizes a zombie. if you can stop a zombies movement pertinently then it's just the same as killing it, and you can always go back and finish it off. but finishing off a zombie takes a lot of energy depending on the wepon your using. and you have to remember to use as little energy as possible when dealing with the undead cause you never know whats around the corner. breaking the spine is a quick easy way to deal with a zombie.

true. so true. i would like to be able to save a bit of energy by just paralyzing a zombie. in all honesty. that is one of the better ideas when dealing with more then one. so i must admit i like this idea a whole lot. oh. before i forget. Saint me brother. if you are interested in an actual riot shield like T-Dog used in TWD. i do sell those. in the tactical gear section if i dont miss my guess.
