Zombie killing-With a potato gun?
Hi, as a member of the minority of zombie loving people who don't own guns. I would like to pose you all a question. Now many of you im sure have heard of a potato gun, perhaps even built and fired one. For those of you who aren’t. A potato gun is a collection of pipes put to together to act like a miniature cannon. You have a large combustion chamber you fill with hair spray or any other fuel you’d like. And a long barrel in which you put a potato or other projectile. Then you put a light to the thing and it will shoot out that potato a long damn ways. Now I was wondering what you all might think of a smaller version designed to shot out steel ball bearings, as zombie killing weapon, for those of us with out firearm access. Now before anyone else gets into it I will way the pros and cons for every one.
PROS:
Cheap,
Can be constructed quickly,
Requires no license to own or shot,
Reliable,
Ability to fire different types of ammo,
Ability to fire improvised ammo,
Ability to possibly reuse ammo,
Easily available ammo ,
Can carry a large amount of ammo easily,
Can use a variety of propellants,
Easily Available Propellants,
Can carry a large amount of Propellant easily,
Easy to repair,
East to replace.
CONS:
Single shot only,
Slow reload time,
Questionable accuracy,
Questionable killing power against zombie.
It seams to me that the Pros out way the cons, but that’s just my opinion now I want yours wicked Zombie. Tell me if this is a Zombie killing win, or if it will just get me eaten. I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU.

i came across this video on YouTube. it looks like an improvement on the potato gun design. in some ways its better and some ways its not. but what i want to know is do you think it will kill a zombie, obviously with modifications like a sold hard projectile and maybe a bigger co2 cartridge. well here's the video and tell me what you think.

If it is a single shot weapon and has slow reload time then against 2 or more zombies your DEAD.

true but the co2 cannon should be able to be shot multiple times before you have to replace the co2. so all you have to do is add the projectile you could use wadding and shoot a lot of smaller projectiles like rocks or ball bearing that might be able especially at a closer range take out more then one zombie. kinda like a co2 shot gun or more accurately a blunderbuss. of course its no ar 15 but if you have nothing else, a projectile wepon is better then a melee. i figure if you practice the reload time shouldn't be much worse then the old black powder riffles.

i would hope so, testing would need to be done. but i've seen a slingshot go through a skull analog so I'm optimistic.

How much do you think it would cost to make a demo for the potato gun?

depends potato gun or cot cannon, well either way i'd say 2o 30 bucks for the weapons themselves and if i want to do it justice by testing it on a pigs head another 40 for that.

when you live in the city and have to special order them like me then yes. but it does depend on the weight its a buy the pound kinda thing

Been Awhile, BUt I'm still Alive
Greetings Everyone, Well it's been awhile. As things go, life carries us all in different directions from time to time but you always find your way home sooner or later. Well, life ain't all fun and games, but right now, things are going good.
