A "Dead Snow" sequel to happen?
Ooooo I hope this is true. I loved that movie.
It’s getting cold out there—a great time to dig DEAD SNOW, our favorite Nazi zombie film, out of the archives. The Norwegian production blew up for its absurd concept, campy violence and EVIL DEAD references, and its ending definitely set us up for a sequel. Director Tommy Wirkola (pictured) has just finished his first U.S. production, the full-throttle action flick HANSEL & GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS, so does this mean he’s done with zombies?
Despite speculation that Wirkola will be making a U.S.-based redux of DEAD SNOW, these allegations are in fact false(ish). “When I first started taking meetings here, there was interest in doing an American remake of DEAD SNOW, but that was never that interesting for me,” Wirkola tells Fango. But there's still hope! “We have been talking about doing a sequel to DEAD SNOW, with some American involvement, but no, not in the U.S. It will, like the first one, be shot in the north of Norway.”
It’s great that Wirkola is sticking to his roots, and “American involvement” could imply raising the scale of the project. Just imagine what this could mean: more anti-Semitic villains, more deadly avalanches and perhaps crazier special FX? Let’s just hope that the sequel packs just as many allusions to our favorites as the original. We’ll be anxiously awaiting the official announcement; see FANGORIA #319, on sale in December, for a full interview with Wirkola on HANSEL & GRETEL, which Paramount releases January 25.

i hope that someone got away with the whole box. that way they are good and pissed and it turns into one hell of a splatter fest. lol. after all, nothing spells family classic like blood and gore.

Been Awhile, BUt I'm still Alive
