I concur. Black and white really helped set the tone. The Day of the Dead featuring Bub was the first one I saw at a theater. Pretty good for the time it was filmed. The Dawn remake was exceptional.

for me its the entire collection of zombie films George Romero made from Night of the Living Dead to his most recent one Survival of the Dead. i cant help but think that this man (even though he was making statements about society during each films making) seen a little bit of what humanities future will be like towards the end.
