Wicked Zombies

YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!

Everyone has their own interpretation of what the movements and abilities of the undead will be.  What are your thoughts?  Can they run, leap, and hunt like wild animals?  Or are they sluggish horde hunters that trap with numbers rather than physical ability?

i feel they will be lumbering hoard hunters that trap with numbers. i also think they will bring into the picture their experiences from their past memories to hunt us with. things like where people would go in groups. where people would go to worship, shop, meet up, socialize, things like this. and at first be very effective at it. even maybe learn a few things along the way. but do like we do or have super abilities? in a word. no.
The sluggish horde hunter type just seems so natural to me. I love my zombies "Romero style".  If they had a heartbeat they wouldn't be really dead, so im not sure how fast someting can move with no blood circulation. There has to be some factor that prevents the zom's blood from clotting, or else they would sorta freeze up or dry out in a matter of days.
I would go with the sluggish horde hunters. If they are dead then they shouldn't have the strength to run or leap. If they do then we are ASS OUT!
Im preparing for the worst!  They run, jump, skip and hunt. Komrads Ready for War....
you got that right little sister.
Is that really the worst? You are far from wrong. Preparing for that will leave you hindered if they rely on other tactics than running, jumping, skipping and hunting. Should they rely instead of pack tactics and more of horde possibilities than all the effort you put into fast moving targets will instead have to be divided on close quarters mob attacks that will leave you near defenseless and with your pants around your ankles.
What your saying is is horde possibilities or mob attacks (whether far or slow zombies) is a greater threat?
looking at it from a realistic standpoint, if were talking about zombies, just plain old, classic what comes to everybodys mind zombies...in that case, no, they are going to be slow, staggering uncoordinated shells of a decaying body...as far as the intelligence goes, I dont believe they will have any...the concept that they can think and flock to where living humans will be...I just cant buy into that theory...I know theyre brains will still work, but only on a subconcious level...they wont be able to think, reason, strategize or problem solve...they will be basically parasites, only acting on the lowest basic from of "instinct" to eat...now, on the other hand, if this ends up being a 28 days later senario...well then the infected will technically still be alive, and still function, only they will function with some super enraged type of rabies...there is a big difference between a living dead being and an infected human...
And just like Devine, I too am preparing for ANYTHING...Romero may have given us some ground rules but he damn sure didnt write the book...hope for the best, prepare for the worse, speak softly and carry a bigass fuckin shotty...
i mean they're rotting so how could they possibly be strong enough to run and jump? just wondering
thats what Ive been sayin, old Rhino seems to think otherwise, he believes that them being dead somehow makes them superheros...lol

From the side of an Anthropologist, Biologist and scientist, I'll have to give my best opinion.

Depending on how badly the brain is effected by the mutations the body itself goes under in a short amount of time from being introduced to the infection [Note, this would probably defect the mind or at least hinder it to a point that it would be rather... useless for lack of a better word], the infected individual would be greatly slowed down. Not to say they would be limited to simple limping, but they would become more primal and lack what we would call 'basic' human understanding. They would not recognize wounds on their body, due to the infection pushing them to spread the infection faster and faster to the point it simply could not go on anymore. The infected would simply push themselves to the point of breaking, though would recognize limits and simply collapse from exhaustion or burn themselves out and slip into a form of mild coma if pushed hard enough. Remember, these things are still in a human body, thusly they are still with anything our own bodies cannot do. The average human cannot run fifty mph, thus a zombie cannot without destroying its muscle tissue and skin, as well as the muscles to cramp up and the heart to speed to the point of destroying itself or seizing up, unable to handle the blood pumping. Its a complicated science, with a lot of guess work involved, but it is most likely they will be able to hunt by themselves, yet will not be able to calculate attacks. They will hunt for substitution, this includes killing animals and spreading the infection. Which comes first, I do not know, but these creatures are simply savage, mentally held back humans that carry the key to our destruction. Until they can be saved, they are a clear threat, and must be put down as such.

Been Awhile, BUt I'm still Alive

Greetings Everyone,    Well it's been awhile. As things go, life carries us all in different directions from time to time but you always find your way home sooner or later. Well, life ain't all fun and games, but right now, things are going good. I have restarted my writing on my book again, and as I learn more about about some of the ROle-playing games I have gotten into, I am seriously thinking about rying to create an actual Zombie Survival Role-playing game. But have not set any time…
