THE WALKING DEAD Season 2 Premiering in July?

This hit the wire about a week ago and it seemed more of a hope than an actual fact. That is until our friends at camp DreadCentral picked up the story which lends some more credibility to the article. During in interview with NY Magazine Bryan Cranston, star of the AMC show BREAKING BAD, revealed some information about the new schedule lineup. Will this push up the second season of TWD from October to July?...

 

Follow up:

"It was a decision from AMC that they wanted to position us in July, along with Mad Men. And I believe they're going to put Walking Dead in July as well. I think it's just a sensible thing — they want to attract as many eyeballs as possible, away from the heavy competition of the September, November, January start."

Keep in mind this is just interview talk and no confirmation from AMC of any kind has been made. From all we've heard in the past, AMC wants to keep the show running right after their successful FearFest lineup of horror films that runs in October culminating with the kickoff of the second season of THE WALKING DEAD on Halloween night.

We know a year is a long time to wait, some feel its too long. But has AMC all of the sudden got cold feet. Might they actually move the shows up for the summer time July television spot? We think they'll stick to their guns and hold off but time will tell and we will keep you updated as we hope to have more news on this in the coming weeks.
