if you live in the Mt. Sektor, intend to go to the Mt. Sector, or live where a winter can be harsh. it is best to prepare for extreme cold as well as other things cold can bring. i recomend packing the following for this type of situation.

1) thermal underwear
2) cold and flu meds
3) thermal socks
4) hand warmers and fuel for them
5) a good sleeping bag rated for cold weather

cold may only freeze stenches but we can still die from diseases and frost bite due to extreme cold.

i think i got that covered. i use the Henry Survival Rifle made by Henry reapting arms. these will even float in water if dropped there.

i have dropped this rifle from a height of 150 feet. left this rifle in water for a week. and even froze this rifle in ice. this rifle is a hard core little rifle. its not meant to be a main rifle, dont get me wrong. but for a harsh environment or small game hunting in such an environment. this weapon works great. i recomend them highly for a backpack or bugout bag.

these rifles were designed originally for our airforce pilots as a means of survival when they crash behind enemy lines during the Vietnam War. even though the design patten has changed hands a few times till Henry Repeating Arms finally got it. the reliabilty has stayed very tried and true. in my opinion, every Komrad should have one in their bugout bag as a backup.

i like the solar panel idea. if you have a place that has them installed for general use, then a severe cold environment would be no real big deal. in a home like this, solar panels run the whole house like hot water heaters, electricity, well pumps, electric heat, the whole shooting match. you can kill zombies as they come or as they freeze. you just need a high enough chain link or wood stockade fence to keep them at bay.

South Texas = heat wave and drought those would be the biggest things to look out for

Same with Florida, water will be a big concern to keep everyone hydrated. Luckily there are lakes, ponds, springs everywhere, just need to purify the H2O first! Heat stroke and heat exhaustion will be a concern as well during the summer.

There are many injuries that could be sustained in an Arctic area that would be made infinitely worse by the numbing temperatures. Frostbite would be a prime concern, especially in the bodies extremities. If frostbite occurs, move to a warmer location as quickly as possible. Then be sure to remove all wet and cold clothing and emerge the affected areas in water no more or less than 100 to 105 degrees Fahrenheit (37.7 to 43.4 degrees Celsius) and blow warm air over the area. Under no circumstances should you rub the affected area. Then, wrap the person up with warm blankets and wrap the affected areas with warm and dry dresses and make sure to immobilize said areas. That should prevent any further damage to the body parts that are frostbitten. Also try to avoid hypothermia- wear excessive layers of warm( and preferably water ressistant) clothing. That should about do it.

P.S. Keep your car or snowmobile full of antifreeze- a vehicle is useless if the fuel lines are frozen!

antifreeze is good for the water lines. but totally useless for gasoline lines. fuel line freeze at times can't be avoided unless the shelter you keep your vehicle in is heated.

Flooding kould be a issues with the undead floating and reaching for us in polluted waters.

we run this risk even in the cleanest of waters because water ways run into one then the other and eventually end up in the sea. when it comes to water of any kind, extreme caution should be taken. zack does not need to breath so he can linger there indefinately.
