Wicked Zombies

YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!

This thought came to me while I was cleaning my closet. Now the obvious thing is that the entire body is controlled by action of the brain/central nervous system. What people may think is that zombies are brain-dead, as in, their brain is no longer functional, so they are practically walking dead people. That may not be the case, because the only way the body can even work is by command of the brain. This means that the brain of a zombie isn’t dead, it is simply working differently. Now in theory, zombies aren’t as smart as normal people, they act mainly by instinct (without thinking at all), and they also have no sense of coordination or specific speech. This would mean that the part of the brain that controls voluntary action is dysfunctional, and the parts that control thought, speech and other non-instinctive factors are completely denatured. This decreases the capacity of the brain being used from the normal human brain capacity. Basically, the most functional areas of the zombie brain would be the areas that control the five senses: sight, smell, touch, hearing and most importantly, taste. And because they would run only on instinct, they can be likened to animals. And if we consider them as animals, that would mean they are of a different species to humans completely. Of course, no real assumptions can be made, because zombies can be the new species that would come to replace the human race, being an evolved and superior species.

Well, we’ll find out someday. I’ve got to study the function of nucleic acids right now.

and i think its because in some cases, people wait too long to start finding solutions to problems that are obviously inevitable. thing is, they dont realize that it would turn around an bite them in the butt. i would know, im a procrastinator :P

exactly. even if they start now. they would be so way behind on any real breakthroughs. by the time they scratch the surface. the beginning of the end will be starting.

yeah, but even so, they wont have much time, considering this type of research takes a matter of years to conduct and assess. sucks much.

This would be a topic the scientist love to study when the outbreaks begin.

yeah thats pretty true. thats why when i created this hypothesis, i figured it would be controversial. but we dont wanna make any assumptions here.

It would be easy to think of zombies as a different species especially because we will have to kill them just to strive. A evolution in species would takes years to happen and when the zombie invasion happens it will be a epidemic that sweeps the world extremely fast.

yeah [even though i dont like Darwin's postulations very much, its like he's tryna make sense out of nonesense]. lolz. but the brain is way too complex for me to be able to figure out how zombification would affect its physiology, even if just its morphology.

i understand now that you put it that way much better. i didnt look at it in the sense of Darwin.

Comment by Cher on September 26, 2012 at 5:46pm

yeah, what you're saying makes sense. but i looked at it from a very biologcal perspective. its more like a Charles Darwin classification, of u understand where im coming from. it doesnt necessarily have to be this way though.

i have to agree with you to an extent. i agree that the brain must be active to a degree to make them move, attack, and to eat. however when it comes to them being a new species of person. i cant do that. i do agree about them working in the form of an animals capacity also. that would explain why they hunt and move in packs like wild dogs. and like most animals. i do think they can be on a learning curve of some kind. the best way to show what i mean is another George Romero movie Land of the Dead. the zombie that  took the lead is a good example of this and as he learned. he also taught to the others. so instead of a new species of person goes, not so much. but a new life form in general, maybe. but thats just me. lol.

Been Awhile, BUt I'm still Alive

Greetings Everyone,    Well it's been awhile. As things go, life carries us all in different directions from time to time but you always find your way home sooner or later. Well, life ain't all fun and games, but right now, things are going good. I have restarted my writing on my book again, and as I learn more about about some of the ROle-playing games I have gotten into, I am seriously thinking about rying to create an actual Zombie Survival Role-playing game. But have not set any time…
