YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!

Well I'll tell you what I think, I think I am never gonna figure out why Zombie fans are so frickin' head over heels about gas masks. That's what I think.

Okay had to research some things... I honestly didn't know the difference between a respirator and a gas mask . How ever now that I did I came across some things that might be of interest. The first of which is that Respirators can also be gas masks. The second is that they design some gas masks to go over the face yet not obstruct the eye.  The main difference that I can find between them seams to be that gas masks tend to be refered to as such mainly in military compounds. The other is ( which I think works for a good argument for the gas masks ) that respirators ( that are respirators and not the respirator/gas mask combo ) has replaceable cartridges that make them work and sense in a zombie apocalypse you can't just run down to the army supply store to fill up when you run out its not that handy to have around for long term use. Also sense the gas mask version is usually made by military then it is more sturdy. There for can provide more protection then just your lungs...

As for a B.O.B.... Don't feel bad, I thought that was the only meaning behind that accrunim until reciently to. It turns out that there is another one though. LOL... Its called a Bounce Out Bag. Basically the bag by the door to grab and go when the zombie apocalypse starts. It has all your supplies that you will need for the short and/or long term.

As for that being in your bag and being a priority. I really think it would be. If you can't breath then you are gonna be doing a lil more dying and a lil less shooting zombies. There is a reason that the military gives them to their men. My whole family except me is in the military and to quote all of them... If ya can't breath then ya can't shoot.

As for this statement...If you are putting yourself in a position where Zombies are getting so close as to scratch at your face or eyes, I would say you are already doing something wrong.... I don't think it is necessarily the case that you did something wrong. If the population is in the the range of millions of undead compared to a hand for of survivors then its just a matter of numbers. You can't help letting some get that close on your right if you have to worry about 20 on your left coming at you. Some are gonna get that close just because of the fact that they out number us. No fault of ours. The strongest thing that zombies have after all in their arsenal is their numbers... There are things you can do to try and better your chances but there is no denying they have that advantage.

PS: Oh and being a Zombie the only thing that I know  that "B.O.B." stands for is "Battery Operated Boyfriend", so I'm  not sure why you would want to put a gas mask on or into that, but to each their own I guess.

The problem though Velma is a simple respirator could achieve what you are looking to do without giving you tunnel vision, and making you more prone to attack from the back or sides. It is almost as bad as wearing ear protection in combat, so far as I am concerned.

If you are putting yourself in a position where Zombies are getting so close as to scratch at your face or eyes, I would say you are already doing something wrong.  And if you are truly in the fight of your life, trying to evade a zombie horde, air quality is truly the least of your worries.  Would you not agree?

Now you're on your own.

Well... I think it would be a smart thing to have in a post zombie apocalyptic world. One... Most gas masks are made out of solid material which would protect your face from any number of things. Such as zombie bites, scratches, shrapnel, or any other kinds of flying objects. Two... In any apocalyptic scenario there will be the fact that the population will go down greatly and peoples priorities with change. No one is gonna worry about releasing pressure from a tie factories oven before it explodes and releases toxic chemicals into the air when then are trying not to get their arms bittin off. There will be all manner of things released into the air. Having one and knowing how to use it is just smart. If I had one it would be in my B.O.B. for sure.

Hope that helped to answer your question babe ;)

Been Awhile, BUt I'm still Alive

Greetings Everyone,    Well it's been awhile. As things go, life carries us all in different directions from time to time but you always find your way home sooner or later. Well, life ain't all fun and games, but right now, things are going good. I have restarted my writing on my book again, and as I learn more about about some of the ROle-playing games I have gotten into, I am seriously thinking about rying to create an actual Zombie Survival Role-playing game. But have not set any time…
