Who Cares?

Who cares about the stranger in the pouring rain?

You look at them in conceled wonder

You see their face coursing with pain

But then you keep walking never looking back as you hear the thunder.

Who cares about the lonely child playing alone?

The bullys see her and take action

At once begin to throw heavy worded stones

They laugh out of satisfaction

Please tell me who cares about the teen,

Who lives every day in constant fear?

The one who has eyes that have seen.

Seen the darkness consume her over the years

Who cares about the nameless ones?

The ones who no one has tried to save?

The people who have never seen the sun?

Some are living on, while others have caved.

The ones still living tell their tale

But it does not help them threw their pain

They are still too frail

Their demons have yet to be slain...
