YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!

Wow, haven't been here in a while :P Ok, so I've been thinking right, and being a medical student and all, I think I have a pretty good idea of how the human body (in terms of physiology in relation to gross anatomy) should work under ideal circumstances. Any changes to the regular morphology or function of even the tiniest part of the body (DNA sequence) would alter the way the body works, and since the body won't be at "optimum", it wouldn't have the capacity to function for a very long time, if even at all. So, considering that the body of a zombie is simply the human body with a couple changes to the morphology and physiology, I'd say that a zombie won't live very long. If it's a change in the functioning of the brain, central or peripheral nervous tissue, there's no way in which nerve cells won't possibly die, even if at a slow rate. eventually, the positive feedback mechanisms would completely degenerate the tissues, and then there's infarction and necrosis. That's why I conclude: zombies won't have long life spans.

A horse stepped on my foot today. Ouch.

yea this is always a great mystery, will a zombie corpse simply rot away until its nothing in a matter of days or weeks, or will it somehow just keep functioning for an extended period? One would have to lean towards the prior, but we won't know for sure until the time comes

yeah, i guess it would also be climate dependent. but think of it as a sickness. i think thats how i came up with this hypothesis, cuz im thinking of it as abnormal and destructive bodily function.

i always figured that a decomposing reanimated corps in ideal climate will only last a year tops. the only thing making life hard is the fact that when a person is bitten and lives. they dont kill themselves or loved ones wont put them down after the change hence adding to the ranks and numbers. but if the climate is not ideal. say like a desert or the hot and humid climate Florida has. i give them six months tops. if the area is prone to sudden temperature drops like Alaska. wait for a sharp sudden freeze and just go from frozen corps to frozen corps and put a bullet in the head or just chop off their dorks with a good axe.

Greetings Everyone,    Well it's been awhile. As things go, life carries us all in different directions from time to time but you always find your way home sooner or later. Well, life ain't all fun and games, but right now, things are going good. I have restarted my writing on my book again, and as I learn more about about some of the ROle-playing games I have gotten into, I am seriously thinking about rying to create an actual Zombie Survival Role-playing game. But have not set any time…
