Outbreak Chapter 25

With the barricade completed there wasn't much left to do other than wait. There were currently eleven of them in the apartment and most of them were still carrying their weapons so even if any infected managed to make it inside they would be able to deal with them without much of a problem. Brendon logged into his e-mail on Wiggins' computer but he still didn't have a response from his family. He didn't say anything to Leslie about it not wanting to make her worry and decided that he would just check again later. Everybody wanted to watch the news in hopes that new of help being sent into the city would be coming soon and Wiggins only had one television in his apartment so everybody was packed into the living room making things somewhat cramped.
Brendon wanted to give the others a chance to use the computer and all of the seats were taken so he went ahead and sat on the ground in a spot that still allowed him to see the television leaning up against a spot on the wall, the full hydration pouch on his back serving as a cool backrest. He could only hope that news of help being sent would come soon, he really didn't want to stay cooped up in the apartment long.
