YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!

The moment the Explorer came to a halt Brendon let his rifle hang by it's sling and used both of his arms to lift himself onto the roof. He ran to the back of the Explorer, jumped off, and had the rear hatch open before the other three made it to the rear. A quick scan showed him that the nearest infected were over a hundred feet away so he had a little bit of time to work with. He had heard somewhere that the average walking speed of humans was between four and five feet per second so he guessed that the infected moved at about seven or eight feet per second. He threw the three duffel bags on the ground for Tom to grab then pulled out his own ruck and pulled it over his head and let it fall down is arms onto his shoulders. Brendon heard gunfire behind him and turned around in time to see an infected man slump to the ground twenty feet away from them as Rebecca shifted her aim to the next closest infected.
Brendon raised his rifle and started laying down fire on the approaching people as the other two grabbed their own rucks. Once everyone had their bags Aidan shut the hatch to the Explorer and the four of them rushed to the nearby rope ladder while their friends on the balcony covered them. Brendon heard a "Heads up," yelled from above and looked up just in time to dodge a falling carabineer tied to a strand of 550 cord.
"Hook up your bags," Brendon heard Wiggins yell from above. He looked and saw that there were three cords that had been lowered and that more people had stepped onto the balcony to help pull the bags up. Brendon had to admit that it was a pretty good idea pulling the bags up and in the end would save them a lot of trouble.
"Looks like you lucked out Tom," Brendon shouted over the gunfire. "Hook up two of the bags then carry the third up. While Tom snapped carabineers over the handles on two of the duffels then headed up the ladder Brendon instructed Aidan to cover their left side and Rebecca to cover their right while Brendon dealt with any threats to their front. The glass patio door to their backs looked to be intact and he hoped that the three of them would be able to hear any infected breaking the glass over the gunfire.
Once he saw that Tom was up the ladder he had Rebecca hook up her pack and head up while he and Aidan covered. By the time Rebecca had gotten up the ladder both of the duffels had been pulled up and the first two cords were dropped down a second time. Brendon dropped his ruck and shouted over to Aidan, "Hook both of our bags to the cords then get up there."

Been Awhile, BUt I'm still Alive

Greetings Everyone,    Well it's been awhile. As things go, life carries us all in different directions from time to time but you always find your way home sooner or later. Well, life ain't all fun and games, but right now, things are going good. I have restarted my writing on my book again, and as I learn more about about some of the ROle-playing games I have gotten into, I am seriously thinking about rying to create an actual Zombie Survival Role-playing game.
