YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!
I haven’t posted anything in a while, because exams have been taking up most of my time. So anyway, I was walking to school one morning, and these Jehovah Witnesses stopped me and handed me this little booklet and suggested I read it. Of course, the title of it captivated me- Doomsday: Fact, Fiction and Fantasy- so I decided to read a bit. It was the Awake! September 2012 edition, and as I read I came across a line that said: “There seems to be no end to the forces ready to pounce upon and lay waste to humanity-killer robots, monsters of all sorts, aliens, zombies, ghosts, dragons, apes, birds, mutant rats and giant wasps.” (The Fascination With Doomsday, Awake! September 2012) They said that people would not take these stories seriously, but I believe we know it is the contrary. In fact, people wouldn’t hype over it so much if there wasn’t even a glimmer of belief present, maybe a bit of fear. For me, it was the word “zombies” that caught my eye. Being a topic that I am very sensitive to, I decided to look into it a bit more. They also stated “First, they are based on the speculation of men, and humans have a far-from-perfect record when it comes to guessing the future.” (Doomsday May Not Be What You Think, Awake!September 2012) Now I should state that we are not trying to predict anything when making our theories about zombies. We are, however, looking at the possibility of something of that nature occuring at some arbritrary point, and brainstorming every possible way in which that would happen. We aren’t saying yes, the world will definitely end by the hands of zombies, but we are saying that it is very real that something of that nature and magnitude would have the ability to wipe out the human race (and maybe a couple other species as well). There was one line that I agreed with, which stated “Concerning that day and hour (when the world will end) nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father.”-Matthew 24:36 So we see that no one can predict it. But that does not mean that they should label everyone else’s theories as to the way in which it would happen as being wrong. I didn’t say that the Undead Hypothesis was right at all. But you know, they’re religion.
I am a Christian, however, so I do agree with everything the Bible has to say about this matter. Just saying.
But the zombies can come, and as I always say, non-believers are the first to die.
P.S.: There was a line that said “The upright are the ones that will reside in the earth, and the blameless are the ones that will be left over in it. As regards the wicked, they will be cut off from the very earth; and as for the treacherous, they will be torn away from it.”-Proverbs 2:5, 6. Think about that for a moment. Would that, in your opinion, determine who succumbs to the zombie Apocalypse? And what defines uprightness and blamelessness? I should be studying right now…

yes. our fates may lay in the future. but sometimes our solutions can be found in the past. we just need to be able to discern fact from fiction and alteration. this being a difficult thing will take some time is the reason we should act on it now. before its to late.
Yeah, well, we don't exactly have that much time anymore, because the generation at present is pushing not only every other species, but also the human race, to the brink of extinction, and without even realizing it. We make such drastic changes that we know would be detrimental o us as some point, and we barely make the effort to change it, and why? Because it puts money into someone's pockets at the end of the day. Anyway, history has been fabricated in some aspects, for sure. The stories have changed, the records have been rearranged, and our beliefs to suit. But there's one thing I'm sure of: history can't matter to us at this point, if we wanna save ourselves. We need to focus on the future, because that's where our fate lies.
and its exactly those tyrants that caused a lot of valuable information to be lost. every time one group conquers another. there is so much loss and not just life. history is lost to. from the beginning to the time of the conquering. and people tend to be so blind and stupid that they always destroy what they dont understand or come to close to their fragile existence. according to the bible. when Christ was put to the cross. his disciples were all hunted down and killed one by one. as a result. we dont have a complete bible as we know it because when they wiped out the disciples. as a result they wiped out the original bible. the ones who were trusted to carry on the original content. and as a result. it was written and rewritten to the point that nobody really knows what was removed and or replaced. that is in my opinion why the section with the telling of the end of days being so vague right along with how the dead and the living reunite and what happens as a result. was it good like "Hey! its Aunt Lucy. Long time no see." or if its "HELP! CALL 911! UNCLE FESTER IS EATING AUNT LUCY'S LIVER!" kind of thing and what they did. you see it all over and with many cultures all over the world. so i have to also agree that for all of humanities intelligence. that mans intelligence walks hand in hand with his stupidity and stupidity wins more then half the time. the only good thing is that there are some that are waking up from that train of thought. i just hope its not all to late for this world. only time will tell.
psssh yeah soon enough, when all the crap that our ancestors have been trying so hard to suppress just come at us in waves. sometimes i think, no matter how intelligent humans are, we're a stupid species. we don't think outside the reality we created for ourselves, well, at least not anymore, because it's apparent that people like the ancient Egyptians, the Mayans, the Incas, Kalinagos, and Tainos, even though they had different ways of depicting it, all had some idea that we as humans aren't the be all and end all, and that if we're not careful, horrible fate could befall us all. well, not forgetting that horrible fates did befall most of them, but thats because of the tyrant empires of past centuries searching for the New World.
exactly my point. to many people disregard religious material just because of its origins. but i never disregard anything that may be based in some form of fact. reason being there could lay an answer that may be of use. granted that it is all vague as far as what it will be and if they did face zombies that they never found a cure of a sorts outside of destroying the brain. but one has to wonder why the Egyptians would remove key organs right down to the brain for the afterlife and why they acted as soon as the person died rather then leave that stuff where it belonged and just did the burial rights like all other cultures did. i even observed that ancient China cremated their dead asap and then performed their religious rights. now was this because of the stink factor of a decomposing body? or was it for some other reason all together not documented completely or just lost over time? being the Christian bible says that we are in the "End of Days". i guess we shall find out soon enough. lol.
well I completely agree with you. I mean, our ancestors didn't just write document those things for no reason, especially as they all relate to something of such a colossal magnitude. And even though each religion has its own belief, they all tell of some dark fate that mankind must face. So why not zombies huh?
when i first saw Night of the Living Dead. i was in a process of searching into which religion if any that i may find as my path to god. and in doing so. i found something rather interesting. every religion from Christianity right down to Voodoo has something in it that mentions the reunion of the dead with the living and as such. the downfall of mankind. now with this in mind. i tend to look at this as a warning of a sorts. mainly because in order to warn about. it had to have happened at some point in time when all this religious material was being written and handed down. sorta to me falls into the category of "If you dont heed the lessons of the past. Then be doomed to repeat it" kind of thing. so if all the religious writings are a warning. then it only makes sense to me that it had to have happened at some point in human history. and if they could overt it with the primitive weapons they had. then certainly we can with what we have at our disposal. we just have to be willing to admit to ourselves that it can happen and NEVER rule it out. that is where we could look at our downfall because the average person cant wrap their head around the idea of people dying, getting back up, and then eating those around them and those they bite survive and becoming what killed them. a zombie. with this that i learned in mind. i not only dont rule it out that a zombie apocalypse can happen. but to also expect it to. at least thats my humble take on it. :-)

Greetings Everyone, Well it's been awhile. As things go, life carries us all in different directions from time to time but you always find your way home sooner or later. Well, life ain't all fun and games, but right now, things are going good. I have restarted my writing on my book again, and as I learn more about about some of the ROle-playing games I have gotten into, I am seriously thinking about rying to create an actual Zombie Survival Role-playing game. But have not set any time…
