I had just walked into my pod when I heard "CONTACT CONTACT THEY'RE HUNDREDS OF 'EM" I didn't even think it was all just a blur instant reaction from our weeks in training I remember running out of my pod into the path where other guys we're heading towards their designated positions on the perimeter I already knew where I was going I was in Tower 7 on the south wall that was about 800 yards for sprinting in full combat gear

Lucky for me there was a deuce an a half headed that way so I just grabbed on and put my foot in rung I looked around and saw searchlights being shut on and men shooting at what I don't know I simply figured it was another haji attack the deuce stopped all of a sudden and I lurched forward and hit my head on the back end I put my hand to my head and saw blood but I had to get to the tower

I hopped off and sprinted up the ramp I was on the top of the wall now I saw guys shooting but didn't look at what again I did a hard left and saw the ladder I shouldered my M-14 and began climbing the 30 odd feet to the top of the tower the firing was getting to be almost deafing I could barely hear any pause between shots it just seemed like there was a buzz saw running full blast right next to my ear

I finally got to the top of the tower and saw Page a puerto rican crackshot a man who was good real good just like me he was sitting in a corner he said to me "They didn't go down when I shot them THEY DIDN'T FUCKING GO DOWN MAN!" I said "CALM THE FUCK DOWN AND PICK UP THAT FUCKING RIFLE THEY'LL GO DOWN IF YOU SHOOT THEM IN THE HEAD DIPSHIT" he seemed to ponder this and then said "your right let's get these haji fucks"

I rested my 14 and looked through the nightsite I saw a wall of people that seemed to move as one slowly but surely towards the wall and it seemed to buckle under the massive firepower but they didn't run or take cover they didn't even seem to flinch when you shot them I rested my cheek on the rifle butt and looked through the scope I took aim and fired straight through the heart:nothing I took aim again this tiime shot right in the sternum:he stumbled back but nothing I took aim for the third time and shot right in the left eye and he dropped like a sack of potatoes

I yelled over the radio on all frequencys knowing everyone would hear me "SHOOT THEM IN THE FUCKING HEAD I REPEAT SHOOT 'EM IN THE FUCKING HEAD" Page heard me say that and started shooting faster I got off the radio and just started firing: *whack 1 *whack 2 *whack 3 *whack 4 *whack 5, and so on I wasted a 30 round clip in 5 minutes and had 4 more where that came from we had a huge amount of ammo up her maybe 1500 rounds of M-14 ammo

We we're laying waste killing hundreds every few seconds but they just kept coming! The bodies we're piling up too you couldn't even see the ground any more it was just all bodies they would trip over their friends by now me and page we're taking turns loading mags he'd give me 4 mags I'd shoot them and then we'd switch and we had done this about a dozen times then it was my turn to load mags I opened another ammo can and there was 1 fucking round left I said to page "We've got ONE round" as I held it up for him to see in the rising sun

He said "That can't be did you check the other boxes?" I nodded he said "Oh shit" I leaned over the side and yelled "ANYBODY GOT ANY 14 AMMO?" one guy said "WE'RE ALL ON OUR LAST MAGS" then I was thinking oh shit too I drew out my my beretta check the clip and checked the extra mag I walked over to the edge of the tower Page stood up next to me and we looked out whatever these things we're they we're still coming

The bodies we're up to 15 feet stacked and they were still coming I said to Page in a tone of defeat "we are so fucked"
