Wicked Zombies

YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!

I sat in the prep room with El Dorado-Iron Maiden blasting somewhere in the background I sat there in full gear I had my M1 leaned up next to me on the bench the military had gone back to our old WW2 uniforms but more high tech they were heavy canvas but they were breathable and surprisingly light and ash grey which ironically was the color of most of the cities due to the fire bombings

There was a big battle coming up a very big one L.A. big we were facing 17 million of those things on one of those super highways I forget which one its a good chokepoint and two no need to worry bout flanking cause we'd cleared everything behind us and walled it the fuck up with these big heavy mining trucks I personally was 15 klics away they flew the standard infantry in via chinook

I heard the seargent saying in a calm aggressive voice "aight ladies we don't got nothing to worry about we gone come we gone conquer and that'sall we gone do you get me?" there were the standard "yessir's" a few louder the seargent looked at me and said "Poker you good" I looked right at him and smiled "Never better" and just as El Dorado ended a private burst in and said "It's time sir"

There was a moment of silence then the seargent started yelling "WELL WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR LET'S GO LET'S GO LET'S GO GET MEAN GET ON THE READY LINE GO GO GO 1 2 3 4 GO" and we all burst out running straight for the chopper

I was last in before sarge and sat down next to the open bay door I sat there looking out at the dark landscape of a city I started singing to calm my nerves and well to make a short ride even shorter "I don't care if it rains or freezes long as I got my plastic Jesus sitting on the dashboard of my car......get yourself a sweet madona dress in rhinestones sitting on a pedestal-" sarge said "what you singing boy?" and then before I could respond the pilot said "ETA 1 MINUTE" I took out a clip padded it on my helmet made sure it was full and then loaded my M1 cocked it and smiled at sarge he replied in similar fashion

The chinook landed on the road and we ran out and got into our assigned firing postions the sun was just breaking the horizon as the Humvees rolled up with decked out speakers and in front of them were 8 big duece and a half trucks with big flat platforms for the snipers the in front of those were the main infantry we engaged at 300 meters wheras the snipers engaged at 2000 meters and then again at 900 meters for the shorter range snipers

I sat there and waited for the music to start and the dance to begin...
