Dr. Lech's Tales from the road.

A little note before I start this blog. The people mentioned in the blog before are what I call my wrestling brothers. At one point the three of us, Me Jason Sparta and Damien Graves, all trained together for a very long time. We've kicked the crap out of each other so many times Ive lost count. So please enjoy one of our many tales from one of our memorable road trips.

Last year during the middle of winter, me and Sparta just picked up Graves from his home in Carson City and was driving back to Sacramento;
the plans was to crash at my place and then go to the show from there.
Well to get to Sacramento we have to drive thru Lake Tahoe. Now if
you’ve never been in Tahoe then you don’t know about the police force
there. They are some of the best police in any city in California, and
Nevada. See the city of Tahoe is in two states, they built it right on
the state line. We just made it up the hill and were half way thru
Tahoe when we decided to head to a liquor store was passed a while
back. So we turned around and head to the store and pulled into the
parking lot, what we didn’t notice was the Fact Sparta made the turn
with out going into the turn lane or the fact there were to patrol cars
behind us. Before we park, we’re hit with a spot light and are told to
get out of the car. I was dressed in a t-shirt and sweat shorts, as was
Sparta, Graves was wearing sweat pants and had a thin hoody on. As we
get out the police has me and Graves stand in one area and Sparta off
by himself. The thing is we know how to act around police, show them
respect and answer them quickly.

So after the usual routine they officers explain why they pulled us
over and why they were searching the car. It turns out that one of the
officers noticed my mask when we made the u-turn to head back to the
liquor store; I just finished it and didn’t want it to get wrinkled up
in my bag so I kept it up front with me. In retrospect a bad idea. At
this point we were out of the car for twenty minutes and starting to
freeze our collective asses off. Remember this was in the middle of
winter and it was about 10*f outside the car.

One of the officers, the one searching the inside of the car, popped
his head out and said, “Besides the dope you got in the center consul,
do you have any more?” me and Graves slowly turned our heads and looked
right at Sparta in disbelief. “Don’t worry its just a few seeds and
stems. Nothing we can get you on.” We all let out a collective sigh of
relief.
Once they finished the inside of the car, they started looking thru the
trunk. Now there’s something you need to know about Sparta, he’s a
sword collector, and guess where he keeps all his swords? That’s right,
in his trunk. So after they took out gear bags out they started pulling
out swords, each one bigger than the other. By now I couldn’t feel my
feet. But the cool thing was since we didn’t get the police any grief
they let us go with a warning, and yes they laid out all the swords on
the hood of the car and took pictures of them.

So after we get everything packed back up the store was closed, so we
headed for McDonalds and grabbed some snacks for the road. Now at this
point Sparta is driving well below the speed limit. I turned to him and
said, “You know you can get stopped for driving too slow?” the moment I
finished saying that, guess what? Yep flashing light and a voice
telling use to pull over. We started laughing out asses off, and were
still laughing when the officer walked up to the car. “What’s so
funny?” he asked, and we explained what happened to us not just fifteen
minutes ago. He checked with dispatch and when they confirmed it he
started laughing as well, “Just do the speed limit and you’ll be fine.”
He said as he waved us off.
