Bound to happen

I figured it had to happen one way or another, but I never really had the chance to make the choices I wanted to. Life does that in a weird kind of way, doesn't it? You think you get to do what you want, even if it's just for a few moments, but just as you get ready it's stripped away. We, as a people, no matter what government or country or race, are all restricted by one thing or another. Well, a common one is also an extremely sad one because you have to decide on it. Friends, or people that you want to call that at least, can hold you back, or restrict you from the things you like. Now, this can be simple, like maybe watching a game, or playing a game. Reading books, hanging out with other friends, going to places while having one to already visit. And it can slowly get worse than that. It kind of just happened, and now (Already made the decision) I've discarded those friends in turn for tending to my family because I couldn't handle missing so much time with the people I've known since birth. 

It's only right, isn't it? To want to spend more time with family than friends simply because you love them and want them to know you do? I don't want to lead a bad example for the younger ones and show it's alright to ditch family just to go hang out with friends, especially in times of need.  I regret how harshly I made the move to remove my friends, but even if it was in the heat of the moment the way they acted made it proper and just. I guess it was just bound to happen, right?
