9:17pm
Around 3:00pm I heard banging at my front door. I went to the door and peered out of the small window near the top and saw a girl that looked about 18 pounding away at my door. I snapped a picture of her on my phone. After downloading it to my computer I was able to get a good look at her. I think I finally understand what's happening here.
I should have known it was fucking zombies. Why didn't I understand it before? I just didn't want to believe it. All this time planning and thinking about it, when it ACTUALLY happens, I'm not fucking ready. I need to cool off. I'm getting too worked up again.
10:11pm
Well, now the media is finally telling us what's going on. They refuse to mention the word "zombie" but it's a start. They pretty much told me that there are two types of "infectees" agile and thinking ones, and sluggish ones. Newly zombies, or infectees, start as the agile ones, or sprinters, until they are killed. Killing them requires a however many bullets it would take to kill a normal human. But moments later, these sprinters rise again as zombies, or "desceased infectees", but will be slow and rotting. They specifically require headshots to be put down for good.
So this means that the first thing I have to do is block up the windows. Four of them are at ground level, being my house only has one story. Thats the living room, the kitchen, my room, and mom&dad's room. I could probably cover up the kitchen window by nailing the dining room table to it, but that leaves three more. I have a computer desk I could push up against the ground level window in my room. That would offer limited protection though. I need to go think this through properly.

Ok. I just finished with the defenses. Their very limited, but they'll do. In front of all six doors I placed a block of wood with a latch to prevent them from opening unless the block is lifted. The dining room table is nailed to the large window in the kitchen. I didn't know what to block the living room window with since the kitchen table was too small, so I used fishing line and orange soda cans and rigged an alarm. It uses a tripwire that sets off the cans' jingle right by my bed. No, I do not feel safe with it but it's all I got. My window is covered by the heavy desk, and mom&dad's window is blocked off by a coffee table nailed up and propped between the very heavy dresser in there. Not very fortress like but I make due with what I'm given.
TOMORROW/TODAY'S TO DO:
-Become familiar with the 952
-Somehow gather firewood from outside
-Find ladder to access attic, then find way to access roof of the house.
-Find signs of life in the neighborhood.
I also found an old police scanner in a box in my parent's closet. I hooked it up and I'm hearing nothing but a bunch of static.
Still a lot of banging on the door.
Still no answer from my parents.
Still no signs of Maggie.
