1:06pm


The power went out last night at 8:20, then came back at 12:42. As of 7:00pm last night there were still people boarding up their houses and coming back with shopping bags of supplies. I ventured outside and to my neighbor's house to ask if he knew what's going on. I think his name is Derrick. Derrick something. He said theres a dangerous virus going around, and he saw somebody get shot by a group of National Gaurds at the Shop Rite the next town over. I went into my basement this morning around 8ish and found the ammunition I was looking for. 12 shells of buckshot, and a small box of 26 slugs. I also found a Smith and Wesson 952 along with 34 9mm bullets, and two magazines. At least it's one full magazine, and a quarter full second. I still need learn how to load it up. But I have the shotgun loaded and I became somewhat familiar with reloading it. I'm going outside to see what the screaming outside is about.


1:17pm


I'm not sure if what I just saw is real. I grabbed the shotgun from my kitchen table and headed outside. Janette, the older woman across the street, was quickly unloading bags from her truck with Phillip, her husband, in tow. I couldn't see where the screaming came from, but there was a man laying on the ground, bloodied, being eaten by my neighbor Derrick's 8 year old daughter. Another scream came out from Anna, the neighbor directly to the left of my house, and Derrick's daughter stood up, turned around, and ran toward her. Anna quickly closed the door and the small girl just started pounding on the door, leaving blood smears on the white door. I ran back inside and locked my door shortly after. I don't think I will be going back outside for a while.
