'Safe'

The wheezing and coughing sounds of the people around me awoke me.  I got up on my elbows and looked down the long hallway.  Row upon row of bodies.....sleeping I hoped.  Every now and again you'd hear a scream or a moan or a grunt.  The government designated this area as 'safe'.  Hey you I looked up and there was a muzzle barrel in my face and behind it was a gas masked face.  What are you doing up?  I replied Just got woken up by all this the soldier lowered his rifle.  Well, just get some sleep alright I smiled and said I would.  I lowered my head back onto the inflatable pillow they gave us.  Slept came easily for the strangest reason and I drifted into a wonderful dream. 

Suddenly I was woken up by more screams and gunshots.  I bolted up and looked down from where the shots were coming from.  There were soldiers in gas masks just shooting towards us.  I could hear the wizz and crack of the bullets I just ran I watched people around me fall.  I flew around a corner and ran into the soldier whom I spoke to during the night.  I started hitting him YOU FUCKERS ARE KILLING US!!!  He clocked me right in the gut saying It's not all of us some of the guard think we'll be better off without the rest of the civies not all of us are like that I'm going to go fight them now get the hell out of here NOW  he pushed my head down and fired over me. 

I turned and watched him take out a soldier running around the corner.  I just looked him in the eyes and he into mine and then in a split second I just ran.  I kept think this is horseshit yeah come to the stadium it 'safe' my ass
