YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!
Today is the release of my short story collection, Dark Matters. It contains 15 stories ranging from vampires to ghosts to haunted houses, and to, of course, zombies. Seven of the stories feature zombies.
Some of the stories have been released as singles and I've announced them here in the past, but eight of the stories are unpublished and original.
It is available for only $2.99 on Amazon:…

So yeah... anyway, get flown into the city via Blackhawks. The first time I laid eyes on the city was at dusk coming in from the southwest, there were columns of smoke from some pretty bad fires here and there. Coming over the highway at two hundred feet made it pretty easy to see blood splattering the miles of totaled cars, bodies everywhere, people running around, screaming while Romeos ran them down. Saw that probably a dozen times before we reached our objective.
Helicopters…

Behold the dog, face shoved into the rubbish, tail wagging, hind legs tense, begins to wiggle and twist, and withdraws with some scrap in his mouth, swallows in one gulp and stands there panting in the Indian heat. He is a mongrel, rangy, bones standing out from his middle, the color of wet sand, a resemblance of dingo. Like a dingo he also does not bark. He cannot bark. A scar down his face and beneath his throat thick enough that its visible beneath his fur.
A time before. A dark…
ContinueThe infected got in today. We don’t know how. If any of us do know they’re not telling. Or they're among the dead.
It was early morning and I was napping on the couch when I was woken by gunfire. Two heavy blasts from a doublebarrel shotgun. I swung my legs over the edge of the couch sat up and shook my head and waited to see if there would be…

In the year 2053 the dead walked. Mankind was caught off guard at first but within six years mounted a massive military assault against the dead.
These are the stories of some of those men and women that fought back.
These are the stories of some trying to find a cure.
These are the stories of those that are just trying to survive the nightmare of the walking dead.
These are the stories of those that caused The Dead War.
The Dead War Trilogy…

Are we now under the watch of the Zombie Overlords .

Always wondered if the beasts of the world wud be susceptible to the zombie virus.I still think even if not ,they would be overwhelmed .Though in a lot of movies, the undead seem oblivious to animals. As for bacteria, that does raise a valid point. However you could argue that the zombie flesh is so polluted that even bacteria would stay away.If this is the case though ,would they continue to rot.Its something not mentioned in the World War Z or Zombie Survival Guide which I usually use as my…

We recently finished evacuating downtown Chicago, IL and the next outer ring of the city. It's my first time in the Windy City and my first time back to the US in almost a year. Fourth Division was scrambled sometime between 'holy shit, you're joking' and 'life isn't worth living if i have to be awake right now' hours during the night, told we had thirty mikes to pack our gear, personal effects and weapons and rushed onto a plane. Not one of those cozy commercial flights, either. Nah,…

My name is Specialist Case. Some of my colleagues and superiors call me Rodent. I'd have to check my tags for my first name, I haven't had one for longer than I can remember. I am thirty years old. And I'm an active duty soldier.
I guess you'd be surprised to know your government still have a very active and stable military gauging from what I've read. We've got new missions now, but we're still very much around. And extremely busy.
Rumors of 'less than ideal' behavior…

I cannot believe that pretty much everybody is dead!
My friends, family, people from work, hell i think i would hug Steve from accounts and my god i hated that prick!
I've been surviving by scavenging from houses, more beans and corned beef then i care to mention i don't know which smells worse me or the living dead!
I've mostly been traveling by night, resting and eating by day, it keeps me warm, and you can hardly see the camp fire in day…

For the past few days, I have been watching the local hospital, I was hoping to raid the pharmacy there. I'm not sure why, but there is a large group of zombies outside, more than I have ever seen, I counted 34 but there could be more.
I cannot tell if they are trying to get in or not.
Either way it is troubling, because every zombie I have seen so far and I mean every single one chases after food, be it people, dogs, whatever is living. but these don't seem…

I am scheduled for heart surgery Wednesday morning. At that time I will have my aortic valve repaired, and a section of my aorta replaced with either a pig, cow, or synthetic section of blood vessel. In short, i will become either part undead, or part cybernetic. My preference is for the cow tissue, but the surgeon says he won't know what is most appropriate until he sees what my heart looks like. …

Well tonight is the night, The Walking Dead is back on the air. I'm excited for 2 reasons. My show is back on the air and tomorrow starts The Walking Dead class. It should be good.
Watching the complete season three right now of The Walking Dead on AMC. Right now the scene is Rick talking to Lori on the phone. One of the few scenes where you get to take a look into the mental state of a person trying to keep him, son and newborn alive while dealing with the death of someone he…

Finished the Sanctuary of the Dead by our own RJ Spears. It's one hell of good read. The inner conflict that some of the characters faced with their faith and killing was something I hadn't counted on. But it was a very nice touch in adding a lot more depth into the inner workings of a character. How ones faith and beliefs would actually be the most hardest of conflicts to face when in a survival scenario.
I really liked it when the main character actually had the hopes of his…

After long and dutiful consideration as to my zombie killing name, I decided to honor my Irish roots by taking the Irish word for Komrad: Chara...
...and then using the nickname given to me by the people of central and south america during my years there in the 1980's: La Parca... which is Spanish for The Grim Reaper.
It seems fitting since it was bestowed from without and embraced within.
When they come, I and my pale horse will be ready to greet them…

Forget Texas, the sequel to my novella, Forget the Alamo, is now available on Amazon. I'm not officially launching it until Thursday, but I wanted to give all my friends here at Wicked Zombies the first chance to read it, since this is my favorite zombie hangout.
For now through Sunday, Forget Texas will only be $.99. After that, it will be $1.99.
Now, if you haven't read Forget the Alamo, you can pick it…

Greetings Everyone, Well it's been awhile. As things go, life carries us all in different directions from time to time but you always find your way home sooner or later. Well, life ain't all fun and games, but right now, things are going good. I have restarted my writing on my book again, and as I learn more about about some of the ROle-playing games I have gotten into, I am seriously thinking about rying to create an actual Zombie Survival Role-playing game. But have not set any time…
