It stands in the dark about to cross the threshold

Face caked with blood, dirt and a story untold

The stagnant stench of rot fills the air

Into dead vacant eyes I stare.

The black, tattered and torn sleeved arms start to rise 

It takes all of my strength to silence my cries

Fear grips hard my heart in its icy grasp

Death's mouth opens in a dirtied…

After fighting off a giant horde of shambling, rotting corpses and being separated from my group, I run for cover to a 3 story home off the main street. 

I barricade the front door and just my luck the windows are already boarded up tight. Just to be safe, I run up the stairs to the top floor and set up shop in what looks to be an old couples bedroom. Doilies on the table tops, family photos in silver frames, a Tiffany lamp in…
