through out history and up until the modern invention of reliable fire arms no weapon, whether on the hunt or in battle was more versatile or dominating then the bow and arrow. which is why it was adopted by almost every salivation and is still used today by hunters and recreational enthusiasts who know its power. in the zombie apocalypse when all modern comforts and tools are gone the bow maybe the difference between life and death. whether its securing your next meal, defending yourself from dangerous murders determined to take what little you have, or putting to rest the undead scourge. the bow proves itself with versatility and re-usability. however one of the troubles with bows lies in the manufacturing proses.it can take a skilled bow maker of many years months to make a reliable bow by hand. a novice has no hope of doing so, until now.

the pvc pipe bow can be made with minimum tools, time and from abundant resources that won't be high on anyone's horde list, except perhaps those who know. and now you can be one of them. this is a simple version but more elaborate ones with better performance and more power and draw weight can be made with only slightly more effort and a few more tools

the slightly more advanced version you see above was made for less then 3 dollars at a local homedepo. took me only 20 minuets to make and consist of only 2 parts. a 4 foot section of 3/4 inch schedule 40 pvc heated and pent over the burner of my kitchen stove, and a length of para-cord for the bow string. throw in some wooden dowel arrows with duck tape vanes and you're ready to go. the draw weight is much higher on this one then the survival version, to high but thats mostly because i screwed up when i was making it. but hey even though i messed up the design it still shoots and shoots hard. so that just goes to show how great pvc bows are. even if you don't make them right they still work. so for the cost and time put in i employ everyone out there to go out and make their own and practice with it. as for how to make it i refer you to the you tube page of the man that taught me. https://www.youtube.com/user/BackyardBowyer?feature=watch
