Zombies what are they? why do they want to eat your flesh? And most importantly how do we stop them?! At redead the undead we use science to answer these questions by put the weapons, tactics, and everyday objects to the test for you. We show you what works and what will get you killed. We help you to not just stay alive, but thrive, so that you can fight back. “Stay alive, Because the dead won’t stay dead on their own”!
Zombies have been a horror staple since nearly the beginning of film. Dating back to 1932’s White Zombie, which is widely considered to be the first feature-length zombie film, and going through the decades, we can see how the undead walkers have evolved from possessed beings and mindless flesh eaters into enraged harbingers of viral disease and even hosts for demonic entities.
The folk over at Digg have put together a video that details this evolution by using clips from dozens of zombie films, culminating with…”iZombie”? Well, I can’t argue technicalities!
Check out the video below and then tell me your favorite type of zombies in the comments! Is it the Romero slow walker or the 28 Days Later speed runner? Is it [REC]‘s demon zombies or Victor Halperin’s Haitian Voodoo-inspired creatures?

That's a pretty comprehensive overview of zombies in cinema and TV. Glad they included Japanese films like Versus and Stacy, as well as the more recent TV fare like Z Nation, iZombie, and of course, The Walking Dead. Offhand, I can't think of anything significant they left out - they even included Romero's more recent zombie films. I've seen most of them, but there's a couple I'll have to catch to complete my list. Thanks for posting!
