Runners?

well i usually associate runners more with infection than I do zombies, because realistically, a zombie wouldn't be running. Now if a human has like some crazy type of rabies infection of some sort, than I can see the whole running thing come into play. However, running does make things more suspenseful, gives more sense of urgency, and keeps you thinking "OH SHIT!"

I know right... but the Dawn of the dead remake they were runners....Then you have La Horde runners... Rec runners aswell... It seems that Euorpeans like the running zombie...Even Dead Snow has them running....

What? George Romero is the king, Diary of the Dead, and Survival of the Dead are recent ones he has come out with which are great....Anyways, I believe when they first die and reanimate I think they should be able to maybe run... but rigamortis has to set in some time.  Unless it was a chemical attack that starts making everyone reanimate and doesn't allow the blood to coagulate...but even then....they still have to start decaying...

All about the walkers...strength in number and overwhelming your next victim...but the runner is damn scary!!!

Fast moving targets will be almost impossible to get a head shot ...  Let alone, if they are runners, and you end up being chased down by the horde, your chance of survival is slim...they don't tire.  Mankind would be wiped out fast...thats what makes runners so damn scary

personally, Im a walker man myself, when you start getting into runners, you sort of cross over from a classic zombie to more of an infected human...they're technically two different things...the classic walking dead cant run, they arent capable (a debate we've had on another topic) but an infected human can...for the sake of our lives though I pray the classic walkers rise Romero style!!!

The french film La Horde has runners as does Dead Snow, and the not yet released swedish film Zon261 all have runners that are dead and not infected.  It really seems that europeans have a joy for the runners

yes the europeans definitely lean towards the runners....
