Is there a certain zombie book or short story that blew you away? I have read some cool stories on this site so what are you guys reading to inspire you? I love most all zombie novels. Even the crappy heavily flawed self published stuff. Tell me!

Komrad Joy Killer, "Return Man" sounds really interesting and I'll definitely be checking it out. Wish it was able for download as I don't enjoy reading on my computer. Would be nice to put it on my nook. Hopefully when it's finalized it'll be available that way. Thanks for the link!

Finished "Kings of the Dead" by Tony Faville last night. It's a good quick read, written in journal format. The author seemed very knowledgeable about firearms and I'm assuming is a former member of the U.S. military. I enjoyed the book quite a lot. I'll be looking forward to more of his work.

Read "Werewolf Smackdown" by Mario Acevedo before that. It's the 5th book in the series about a vampire detective. If you're a fan of the series, it's pretty much what you'd expect at this point. Entertaining but no new ground is really covered aside from the introduction of werewolves into the mix.

Finished "The Dead" last night. While it has a lot of religious discussion throughout, I really enjoyed it. These aren't traditional zombies (Romero-type) but are still out to get the living. Highly recommend this one.

Reading Mario Acevedo's "Werewolf Smackdown" next. It's the latest in his vampire detective series. I've enjoyed the humor in the others so am looking forward to this one too.

I just finished History Is Dead: A Zombie Anthology. The stories just travel through time from there. From Vikings, Jack the Ripper, the great Plague, the Chicago fire, and so many more creative twists and turns, you just don't have a chance to get bored by this book!

I should finish "The Dead" in the next few days and will post about it again. If the ending isn't satisfying then I'll let you know. Brian Keene and J.L. Bourne wrote nice blurbs on the front and back covers though so I'm guessing it's going to wrap up nicely. Stay tuned. :-)

Recently read "Season of Rot" and "How the West Went to Hell" both by Eric S. Brown ... enjoyed the stories but not the writing. Lots of misspellings and weird grammar. I don't mean to bash him because I really enjoyed some of the stories.

Now reading "The Dead" by Mark E. Rogers ... wow! That book is very well written and the illustrations, all done by the author, are beautifully rendered. I'm jealous that he's able to handle both the writing and art with such ability. I'm about a third of the way through it and it's been difficult to put it down ... but I couldn't stay awake any longer last night ... and I have to get some work done today.

Have a great day, everyone!

"Dead: The Ugly Beginning" by TW Brown is now available. I did the cover art. You can see the art at my blog.

Order the book here: https://www.createspace.com/3444933

His first book, Zomblog, is a good read as well: http://www.amazon.com/Zomblog-T-W-Brown/dp/1449962203/ref=sr_1_1?ie...

I have an advance reader copy of State of Decay but it's not made it into my reading rotation yet. I did 2 pieces of art for his website to help promote the book. I believe that's book one of three in the series.

Finished Breathers. I enjoyed it but it's a different kind of zombie story too (more of a social commentary than your typical zombie book). Reading Season of Rot now. Got through the first 2 stories yesterday.

Been Awhile, BUt I'm still Alive

Greetings Everyone,    Well it's been awhile. As things go, life carries us all in different directions from time to time but you always find your way home sooner or later. Well, life ain't all fun and games, but right now, things are going good. I have restarted my writing on my book again, and as I learn more about about some of the ROle-playing games I have gotten into, I am seriously thinking about rying to create an actual Zombie Survival Role-playing game. But have not set any time…
