thanx, yea, Im looking to buy a few guns later down the line, when some of "issues" get resolved and what-not, Im not a felon, couple d.u.i's so I shouldnt really have a problem purchasing them legally right? Im just interested in learning to shoot for now, getting a feel for it, God knows I dont want to end up in a situation where Im forced to shoot to kill for survival and taking my first shot ever!!

it all depends on the range you go to and if they offer the rent option. the down side to the rent option is they dont always offer the ones you want to shoot. its been my experience that the ones that let you rent a gun will offer the cheapest hunks of junk they can that way if it breaks while you shoot it. then no loss to them. i would rather own mine and feel safe with the fact that i know my gun not only works. but i know how many rounds has been through it. a rental gun, you never know how many rounds have been through it and how safe it really is. they could be fine on the outside and be dangerous on the inside due to improper care and cleanings.

can I just go to a gun range and like "rent" a gun to shoot for a little while...or do I have to have my own?

Glocks are a good gun. easy on the trigger pull and very accurate. i tend to go more for the Springfield Armory XD9 myself. just as good as a Glock but better safety features. i would recommend either one. but i think you will find better results with the XD9. also when you buy an XD pistol. you get a kydex holster, mag pouch, mag loader, and hard case to store it in.

what would you suggest a good beginner gun to shoot? my cousin has a glock 9 next time I get down there Ima shoot it with him...

damn took me awhile to join this one...lol, I dont currently own any guns, and to be honest, Ive never shot one, have very little knowelege, but one day, I will to learn about and shoot...Rhino, guide me brother!!
