these are handy little devils if i say so myself. they can either be used to stablize the shot tube to the barrel. or as an accessory clamp to put a tactical light or a laser sight to your favorite shotgun. i recomend using a mini maglite. i used one of these for my MOSSBERG 590 MILITARY/POLICE MODEL. it lets me still use my bayonet and the tactical light option to. way cool! a MUST HAVE for your shotgun. trust me.

Comment by KOMRAD RHINO☭ on July 21, 2010 at 3:04pm: yes. when you get to the upper assembly. you are money ahead to get it pre assembled. reason being is if you put it together yourself, then you will have the job of whats called head spacing. and what that is is calibrating the bolt just right so it will close completely. its a hard chore to do without the right (and expensive) tools for the job. by the time you get all the tools needed, go through all the head aches of trial and error. you will find it way cheaper to build the lower assembly by hand and just buy a fully assembled upper of your choice. because the tools needed for head spacing cost around $300 to $425. to get the complete upper of your choice can be bought for way less. about $300 to $375 without S&H charges and can be gotten by most any gun shop or gun publication with a good reputation like Sportsmans Guide.
