Wicked Zombies

YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!

Night of the Creeps finally came out on dvd this october. It was one of the most awaited releases over the years. Not a big hit upon release, it has gone on to pick up a large following over the years. This movie has it all: zombies, aliens, parasite slugs and even an axe murderer. What more could a horror buff want?
This film was always one of my favorites since the eighties when it came out. Available only on bootleg, it now has an official dvd release with great special features containing an excellant forty-five minute documentary. Its great to see this classic get it's due treatment.
I met one of the stars, Jason Lively, at a recent konvention and he was super nice. MonsterMania Kon in New Jersey has just updated their guestlist for the upcoming March show and they will be having all three main stars from the film this spring. I will be there with bells on my shoes because I LOVE THIS MOVIE.

brother. Night of the Creeps is a family classic in my family next to the George Romero classics and the Jaws movies.
One more thing I'd like to add cocerning this film. The movie Slither obviously borrowed from Night of the Creeps greatly. It is a great movie its its own rite, starring Michael Rooker of Henry-Portrait of a Serial Killer, that featured excellant gore sequences and was directed buy fan fav James Gunn, who scripted the Dawn remake. I know a lot of you guys enjoyed the remake and I have to admit it has grown on me quite a bit, over repeated viewings. So James Gunn has become quite the man and did a supurb job in directing Slither. (we'll try to forget he wrote Scooby-Doo 1&2)
But you just cant deny the bigtime simularities between the two. They both feature zombies that are infected by big, black, super fast alien slug parasites. Gunn's influence was as clear as day to me on the first viewing. Its nice though, a sort of a homage to a great classic that was a fav of mine growing up.
i saw the same thing when it came to Slither to. i never thought to mention it though. lol.
Slither is a highly detailed throw back to the 80s horror movie. All the way down to every sign in every shot to the names of the characters. Gunn as we know came from Troma films where he wrote Tromeo and Juliet and other great shit. The Scooby Doo movies were written and intended to be R rated movies for adults and the production company edited the shit out of his script and basically paid him off to let it go. I can't imagine what he really wrote for those 2 films. I bet it would have been cool. Never know now though. Check out the mockumentory film he and his exwife Jenna Fischer from The Office made. It is out on dvd by Troma and is funny as hell and has all the great Troma extras you would expect.
that was and still is a great movie

i first got to see that in a double feature the second movie was this one about college kids who were suppose to spend the night in a haunted mansion by a psycho killer who is thought dead but no body was ever found so as they hop over the giant iron gate one of them gets the spear head tip stuck in their leg but the rest decide to carry on. and the leader of the group has a friend hidding out who is going to work all the controls on their little scary pranks... then the psycho killer shows up and starts to have his way with everyone
Thats Hell Night with Linda Blair. great movie.
Not me!!! You made me watch it for 3 days straight. That's enough time for me to hate anything. LOL
now really? how can you hate a classic like this? besides zombies, they had everything right down to nudity. what more can a person ask for?? lol.
Don't worry, when I get my copy soon Kas will be bangin her head into the kitchen floor as well. I watch it online sometimes but I need those extra features.
Night Of The Creeps is one of the best horror films out there. Films like Slither have rip off from it. It sucked that it waited so long to come on DVD and Blu-Ray. But I do on it now on Blu-Ray. Don't be shocked if a remake is in mind. Oh God...the horror of it all.
agreed. Tis the age of the remake. lol.
"Slither is a highly detailed throw back to the 80s horror movie. All the way down to every sign in every shot to the names of the characters."

It has a totally different story line. It's a tribute. I get irritated with comments like this. Slither was a good movie. Plain and simple. It had all the good elements of old horror movies because it was an homage to old horror movies. Maybe watch some stuff with a more open mind and you'll enjoy it more. I'm afraid you guys are going to have to get used to "rip offs" and "remakes". That crap isn't going to end any time soon for sure. I've certainly seen worse than Slither.

Been Awhile, BUt I'm still Alive

Greetings Everyone,    Well it's been awhile. As things go, life carries us all in different directions from time to time but you always find your way home sooner or later. Well, life ain't all fun and games, but right now, things are going good. I have restarted my writing on my book again, and as I learn more about about some of the ROle-playing games I have gotten into, I am seriously thinking about rying to create an actual Zombie Survival Role-playing game. But have not set any time…
