Wicked Zombies

YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!

Here is an interesting video with some zombie relatable tidbits. After all what is a zombie but you with out your brain, or at least the majority of it. the frog legs part was really interesting. its nothing new we've know for a while the limbs and even a full human body can be animated after death through the use of electricity since the 1800. of course it's very rudimentary and fades quickly after death. since as the video said your muscles would quickly run out of energy. but what if you could artificially supply muscle cells with energy, and then wired in to the nervous system an outside force to send control signals to those muscles. or re awaken parts of the brain. obviously this is over simplifying the task. but it does lay the basic ground work for a zombie.

(also for fans of the first resident evil game you'll remember the red queen explaining the t-virus as doing the same thing. first a cellular boast to give the cell the energy they need to move.)

It might not seam like it but this automatic guitar player might be the beginning of a techno zombie invasion. now imagine this as a full suit that control your every movement down to the finest detail. maybe its a military thing to help soldiers move and react fast, or maybe even move if they've been wounded or paralyzed. it gets its control from your brain but also has an artificial intelligence in it to help or take over if your knocked unconscious or something.

now imagine the wearer dies but the suit is designed to carry on, like a soldier on a battlefield might need to do. so it ejects the dead host with a chemical that gives the cells artificial energy, like i talked about above, and bingo you got a walking fighting corpse. all good as-long as you can control it. but what if the suit is damaged or infected with a computer virus, hacked or become self aware.

then we have marionette style corpse attacking civilians. i.e. high tech zombies. now imagine if the suits where programed to convert others that they kill. strapping new suits on victims or maybe even transferring an existing suit to a new host when the old one becomes unusable do to damage or decay. and it all started with wanting to cheat your music lessons with a self playing guitar, scary.

TERMINATOR ZOMBIES WILL KILL US ALL!

Disconnecting the brain from the body means that any controlling virus or parasite must replace all the functions controlled by the brain.  It is extremely inefficient.  The "smart" thing to do is engineer a virus or parasite that kills the host then activates the portions of the brain that control all essential functions, respiration, mobility, energy consumption and conversion (stomach, teeth, mouth, intestines, heart, blood stream, lungs, etc).  The agent can control the heart rate thus sending food and oxygen to the parts of the body that needs it most.

This is the only feasible explanation for a zombie moving and eating the living.  Nothing else makes sense.  Well, there is one over possibility and that is the dead being reanimated by demons thus giving them a physical form on this plain of existence.  Of course, we all know that zombie-ism is spread through biting.  So, the virus-parasite will want to control consumption as much as possible ensuring the survival of its species.  Once again, a good reason to control the body from the brain.

Does any of you remember the stories out of nazi Germany during the latter part of WW2?  Troops encountering enemy units that "wouldn't die" no matter how many times they were shot?

They often try to explain troops being shot and not dying to drugs and hysteria. It could also have been a Zombie Virus. Any new research?

I found this information and thought it would be helpful!

Brain/Nervous System
This system has been of great interest to researchers, as zombie nervous tissue appears to have regenerative properties not found in humans.

Cross-sections of a normal brain (l) and
a zombie brain (r) show the extensive
atrophy of zombie brain tissue
  1. Brain: because so little of it is crucial to their survival, zombies can survive an enormous loss of brain tissue. Former FVZA zombie specialist Himmelburger tells of encountering a zombie who had lost over 3/4 of his head from a shotgun blast, with no apparent effect.
  2. Spine/nervous system: zombies have exhibited the ability to withstand significant trauma to their central nervous system. In a famous series of experiments conducted by FVZA scientists in 1972, zombies who had their spinal cords severed regained the ability to walk within 24 hours. Thus far, researchers have been unable to unlock the mechanism for this process of repair.
  3. Dopamine: the smell of living flesh triggers a large release of this adrenaline-like neurotransmitter into the zombie brain.

Been Awhile, BUt I'm still Alive

Greetings Everyone,    Well it's been awhile. As things go, life carries us all in different directions from time to time but you always find your way home sooner or later. Well, life ain't all fun and games, but right now, things are going good. I have restarted my writing on my book again, and as I learn more about about some of the ROle-playing games I have gotten into, I am seriously thinking about rying to create an actual Zombie Survival Role-playing game. But have not set any time…
