Warming and Cooling Zombie Bunkers, Any Ideas???

Hey boils and ghouls,

   I was sitting back and just thinking about the perfect house or fortress type dwelling. I came up with my own version of a apocalypse type fortress. I was thinking about the set up the other day, I don't have any pics, just cause I can't draw worth a shit...(LOL)

   But I got thinking about everyone has these ideas in which they create a house like a bunker, where the walls are concrete, windows are 8 foot off the ground and the doors are solid steel. And if we have to retreat from the house to the underground full blown bunker, they have that set to be a back-up defensive living quarters.

   I did however find a fault within my plans. Even though I have taken precautions in order to defend my family with the house I have designed, (nothing on paper yet), there are a few flaws. Even with two years of still designing the house, there's the factor of the weather and climate. Though the house may be sealed tight as shit, the oxygen supply devices in use or on stand by, your bunker tunnel ready at a moments notice to be used, the bunker at the end of the tunnel stocked to the hilt with food, water, weapons, ammo, fuel and entertainment, you still aren't ready for the elements...

   What in the world are we thinking when we forget that we need to be cool in the summer and warm during the winter, but no amount of clothing, either less of more can keep your body working. You know how we all have grown accustom to air conditioners and heaters and Central heat and air units. I have been designing a house with 3 sub-basements. But the one thing I haven't added to the design was the way to heat and cool the house or the basement and the 3 sub-basements.

   When I looked into the styles of different designs in bunkers and what some call "Safe Houses", none of the have a way to cool or warm the house or the bunker...I went back to my design in which I was creating and realized I was so focused on storage, armament and defense that I never thought about the way to warm both the house or the bunker....

   I think I've come up with a way in order to do heat and cool during the Z-poc or any apocalyptic scenario. We all know that power will be a major source in which we have to figure out how to keep running, in some way. During the design of the house I wish to build, the land would be at least 5 acres no more then 10 acres of land. You can choose how much or little land you need...

   Anyways, the back half of the 5 acres will consist of 3 windmills and along with them there would be solar panels in which line up within the front of the solar panels. I believe this would supply enough power for a group of 10 to 20 at most. 

   With a large generator like a hospital has in one of the sub-basements of the house with venting and a side room of sub-basement 3 holding a 2500 gallon tank of fuel that is also vented...

   With these three things set-up, I went on to develop the rest of the house. Sub-basement 2 was storage of food and water and then kitchen. Sub-basement 1 is set-up for living quarters and showers. The way it's set up is just like a military barracks. The back room has showers, sinks and toilets...

   As for the basement, that is storage of weapons and ammo. and on the far wall there is a large maintainence tunnel to the wind mills and the solar panels. This tunnel also leads to a large four room bunker which is set up like a house, but with only one large room off on one side for food, water, waepons, ammo and other needful things in which to survive...

   After designing or coming up with these ideas for my house, I started coming up with ideas for the house itself. With many ideas taken from video games, comics, novels and movies, I came up with a pretty strong house that can withstand a horde passing by.

   I moved onto the defense of the property. Re-inforced concrete walls with iron fencing. The front gate that can be rolled with or without power that actually goes 4 foot inside the opposite wall in which is locked with 3 steel rods which are locked by another rod going through two eyes which are embedded  into the concrete and welded to several of the re-bar inside the concrete wall...The other end of the gate is also inside the concrete wall so it can't be pushed in easily. Plus a large vehicle can be placed sideways against it making the gate almost unbreakable. Unless someone tries to use explosives or a tank to come in...(L) The concrete wall goes 6 foot into the ground, so after two foot of digging, most humans will give up...Just hope we don't get any mole zombies...(LOL)

   The towers at each corner are simple hunting blinds. There are 8 of those surrounding the inside of the wall. One in each corner with one in the middle of each wall. There is a natural berm in which goes 4 foot high on the inside of the wall in which braces the backside of the wall throughout the compound...

   After I figured out how I wanted the defenses, I was like cool. I'm done...Then the other day I was watching Night of the Living Dead the remake and saw how the people were sweating in the farmhouse. ANd how the hell those in Mutants were damn near frozen to death within a facility where no heat was...

   I went back over my plans and that's when I saw no way of heating and cooling...So with that in mind, I am working now in solving that problem. But it seems to be proving more difficult then just a simple idea...(LOL)

   If anyone has the any suggestions, lets talk about it...I'm all for figuring this out...
