YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!
For anyone who has seen the Sons of Guns show where Max Brooks did an appearance. They came up with a stock system for the Ruger 10/22 rifle called the ZK-22. The stock itself is a drop in kit much like the Muzzlite Bullpup system except it is in a P90 version and best of all. IT IS A BULLPUP. lol. Red Jacket Firearms is taking orders ahead of the market release date this fall for $229.00 plus shipping.

pretty sweet, all Komradz should invest in one of these. how many rounds does it hold?
you can use the factory 10 round mag clear up to the 50 round drum. the only thing is you only get the stock kit. the gun is separate. lol. sorry dude. i didnt make the rules. lol.
well then
LMAO!!! i like the picture. lol. i think they could make a fortune off them if they did make it a package deal. lol.
I've been looking for a Ruger 10/22 ever since I saw this episode. I always thought the .22 caliber rifle or pistol were always under rated. SO for the last few weeks after seeing the rerun of the show I've been looking for a Ruger 10/22 rifle. Cause I believe that with the way the ZK-22 BullPup was made, it would and will turn out to be the perfect Z-poc gun made. Easily to scrounge ammo for and with the amount of ammo you can carry, you should be able to defend yourself let alone your family and your safe haven....
when it comes to a gun of any kind. through my own experiences i can honestly say. a killer is no better then the tools he trains with. and a 22lr can be just as deadly as a .308 Winchester any day. its all in what you train with. there are men & women i know who couldnt hit the broad side of a barn up close with a rock by throwing it. but put a single shot 22 in their hands and god help you because he is the only one who can. and being a 22lr can punch through a 1/4 inch board at 100 yards. then they are more then capable of dropping a zombie at that yardage. the weapon with my bug out bag is a Ruger 10/22 with a bullpup stock made by muzzelite stock kit. i love the shortness it gives the rifle. granted you are not going to be driving tacks with the provided site system. but at 75 yards. i was able to keep all my shots in a 1 inch grouping on a zombie target. any one of the ten head shots in that 1 inch group would have been more then fatal to a human. so Mr. Zombie would be no real threat either. so for the stock kit i have. here is the following steps.
STEP 1: GET RUGER 10/22
STEP 2: GET MUZZELITE BULLPUP STOCK KIT
STEP 3: FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS ON ASSEMBLY
STEP 4: ENJOY FINISHED PRODUCT
the scope mount even comes with it so its not an extra to buy. i love this thing.
I LOVE this gun. On the website I'm building I have placed this every episode from youtube on it. I guess its the compact size and the way it preformed during the testing phase that really took me to wanting one bad enough I will trade my racing roll cage for one. If I can find some to trade...(LOL) Anyways, I'm hoping World War Z will hold off just another few months, or till after tax time...(LOL) I've done set my mind on getting one and my wife is actually wanting me to train with it at a gun range. I would like to place a HAMR optics on it, but those aint cheap. Anyone got an idea for a cheaper scope or optics for this weapon?
i just put a good BSA red dot scope on mine. they are not fancy. but they are more then functional and will improve your aim. it has a very nice 30mm field of view and has 11 brightness settings. 0 being off. level 1 being its dimmest and level 11 being the brightest. now i know what you are gonna say. "that looks like a crossbow scope." in all due honesty. it can be used that way. but is more designed for the rim fire rifle platform and most any small arm rifle. i originally had it on a 9mm Hi-Point rifle. but then changes it out to the 10/22 platform because i just plane liked it better there. here is a pic of what you will be looking at.
How long did it take for you to sight it in? I know a lot of people do the barrel laser sighting, but personally I feel like that's not as accurate as firing a bullet and dialing it in. Or is just as good or better then fire setting the sight? I've heard several people talk about how it's easier and faster, but I've also heard people say that it's not as accurate as fire setting. (LOL) Hate to sound like I've never owned a gun, which I have owned one or two, but I only fired them just for fun.
And one more question. The Ruger 10/22 rifle is your standard 22 rifle right? If so, would the Savage .22 Long Rifle, that Wal-mart offers for @120.00 dollars, work just as well?
I'm having one hell of a time trying to find a Ruger 10/22 rifle here in the middle of redneck country. Everyone here likes anything from a .308 or highe in caliber. Not to many people deal with a .22 rifle. A few gun stores carry them, but its the Savage .22 Long Rifle. Either people are hoarding them or it's the best kept secret in TN...(LOL)
a savage would not fit at all where a Ruger would fit. two entirely different frames. as for zeroing in. it didnt take me long at all. and i dont trust a barrel laser sighting tool at all. old school for me or not at all. i got a source on them. Ruger 10/22's. if you want. i can get you a price quote.
See what you can find out if you don't mind. Thanks

Greetings Everyone, Well it's been awhile. As things go, life carries us all in different directions from time to time but you always find your way home sooner or later. Well, life ain't all fun and games, but right now, things are going good. I have restarted my writing on my book again, and as I learn more about about some of the ROle-playing games I have gotten into, I am seriously thinking about rying to create an actual Zombie Survival Role-playing game. But have not set any time…
