i just saw this today. this is one kick ass movie. a must see for any RESIDENT EVIL fan. i want this to come out in DVD format.

This movie just from the trailers is going to be kick ass...As for the games, I've played them all and actually enjoy that the movies are totally different from the games. And I enjoy the CGI movies also...So I'm hoping this movie will be as good as the rest of them....

While not a big fan of resident evil movies, I am of the games. I can't say I want this movie to be successful because it doesn't hold true to the series, but remove it from the canon perspective and I guess a couple of the films have been alright. I hope you guys enjoy this one!

The movies are just like the Resident Evil games. You have resident Evil 1-5, well now 6 and you have a bunch of branch offs that are set within a different time during the Umbrella Corp timeline. You have Resident Evil: Dead Aim, Outbreak 1 & 2, Code Veronica and a few others. None of the branch off games follow a strict timeline within the timeline of the Resident Evil 1-5...So the movies are a totally different reality of a timeline involving Umbrella. I mean you can see the different story lines within a single story. They are all told from a different point of view within the Resident Evil story line. So I say try and watch them not as a making of a game, but as a totally new reality within the Resident Evil realm...

   Now just in case, I understand your point of view. Because i really liked the game Doom and when the movie came out, I really wished I never bought it and watched it. I tried to look at it as a different story, but the creatures and the acting was just no way I could ever see why they decided to make it...Some things are best left alone in one genre and never transfered into another....

The bulk of Resident Evil Retribution is NOT ZOMBIES! It is humans and background info to set up Resident Evil 6. It was entertaining, they did some very nice stuff with the zombie types that you do see, but anybody who is a fan of the series and is well versed in the movie's will definitely note the severe lack of zombie action. There really isn't much more one can say without dropping spoilers. There are zombies, very very cool ones...a few that looked ripped off from other franchises as well, but they are secondary to the non-infected stars in this Resident Evil.

It was more of action movie then a zombie/horror movie. I give it 2 1/2 out of 5 starts.
