I thought a place to talk about whatever is on our minds or get to know each other in. So, just jump in and begin a conversation. Hi, I'm Kas and I am a mommy of a 3 year old and an artist. I am also a step mom to 2 beautiful girls, 12 & 15. Married to Wicked Zombie's own Scatoma. He's my maaaaaannnnn. ;)
Love horror themed stuff, not as die hard as Scat but my interest has climbed since joining WZ. I love scifi so much. So we have different tastes.
WZ has been a great place to hang out and we have a close community. I've made some wonderful friends here too. I'm helping admin now, I'm excited to help V in that area and I'm trying to coordinate contests for this summer too. Should anyone have any ideas or questions on contests, please msg me.

I'm redecorating my house, very please so far. That's about it. Maybe new glasses.

Well, let me introduce myself. I'm R.J. Spears and I was born and raised in a small southern Ohio river town.
I'll give you hints about my age. I grew up with a black & white TV, rotary phones, and 8 Tracks. Cassettes were major innovation. Disco nearly ruined my life. That's enough of that.
I'm a husband and father of two wonderful daughters (who have me wrapped around their pinkie fingers). I graduated with a degree in filmmaking a long time ago with dreams of being a director, but that didn't happen. I've worked in higher education for all my career, working in three different states in the Midwest. I started out in video production and then transitioned into distance learning after getting a master's degree in Educational Technology in 2001.
My introduction to zombies was a teenager when I saw "Dawn of the Dead." Boy, I wasn't prepared for that and after getting over the shock, I was hooked. I went back and saw it again the next two weekend and then took my friends to see it at the drive-in. Dawn of the Dead is the film I've seen most in the theater, seeing it 7 times.
Over the past 15 years, I've played with writing and just got really serious about in the past three years. I write crime/mystery and horror. In the past year (or so), I've had 8 short stories accepted for online publication or for print anthologies. Just for the heck of it, I've published two of my short stories on Amazon and am about to release a zombie novella. I have my first novel (about zombies, of course) with an editor currently and plan to release later this year.
I'm glad that I found this site. What a great resource for lovers of the undead.

Been Awhile, BUt I'm still Alive
Greetings Everyone, Well it's been awhile. As things go, life carries us all in different directions from time to time but you always find your way home sooner or later. Well, life ain't all fun and games, but right now, things are going good. I have restarted my writing on my book again, and as I learn more about about some of the ROle-playing games I have gotten into, I am seriously thinking about rying to create an actual Zombie Survival Role-playing game. But have not set any time…
