so while researching for my zombie hunter con costume i fell in love with post apocalyptic cosplay. everything from fallout props to original works. it's just such a cool look and you can do anything with it. it requires little money if you know how to scavenge and helps prepare all of us for what it's gonna be like after they rise. i felt wickedzombies was a good place to bring this to help expand the site. so with all that in mind I'm going to be posting cool stuff i make and design here. and if you catch the bug or maybe if you already have it then i welcome you to post your stuff here too.

and after a lot of research i think I'm going to make this as a ring. like the popes ring. it just goes more with my style. i think i can probably cast the ring out of aluminum itself out of aluminum using a lost Styrofoam method. I've been meaning to build a forge anyway. then i can engrave a small circle of aluminum with my symbol which is this. i already have an electric engraver. its actually a cheap drimil that doesn't really work as a drimil but is great as an engraver. then just glue the engraved seal to the ring and done.

okay after some work i figured out i cant engrave deep enough to make it out of metal so I'll cast the ring body and then glue a clay seal to it. i also refined the design more. everything it black be engraved.

I think if you cast this from aluminum you could is either some JB Weld to mend it to other strong flat top ring...Or you could either solder them together...Or since you're going to make it out of aluminum, you can meld them together by making the top of the ring as soft as you can get it, without melting the ring, heat the bottom of the emblem till it is pliable and by using pressure, you should be able to fuse them together...

Of if you looking for a good way to create your ring out of one piece of metal, you should try finding a railroad type spike, heat it till you are able to forge it into the shape of your ring and with the large area that would be centered on top of the ring, engrave your emblem into the metal...This way its one solid piece and not two different pieces which over time might come apart...

Granted, this is a larger version, which was made into a bracelet, this should give you the idea of what I was talking about...By making sure the head is the center of the ring, you would be able to engrave your emblem...Granted you would need to work on enlarging the top of the railroad spike, but by bending it into your ring and making sure you use the entire spike, you would be sticking to your theme...It could be said it was an actual spike from the crucifixion of your God or your Deity...Which, if aged or even the right railroad spike is found, would or could not be disputed because in the apocalypse age there would be no way to test scientifically that it was or wasn't from the crucifixion.......

thats a really good idea but my engrave isn't good enough to do the deep groves a wax seal would need i was thinking of maybe just making the whole ring out of clay. which i found a nice silver one thats pretty good simulation for metal I'll try that out first but I'll use you railroad spike as crucifixion nail idea. they are basically the same shape but crucifixion nails are much smaller. but i can always draw it out. but doing all that would require me to have a full forge and anvil set which i dont got yet. but one day. buy the way any one ever find a piece of railroad track or any other big piece of solid metal that they think would make a good anvil ill pay what ever it cost to ship it too me.

oh and what do you think of my personal seal?

I like the seal...It's cool as hell on a winter's morning....(L)

Actually, you could possibly use a piece of a car's A Frame as an anvil...Catch a ride to an old junk yard or see if your dad can get you a nice size piece of a car's a frame...It should work just as good...When shaping the metal for my Zombie Armor/Costume, I mostly use a set of concrete steps and a large piece of 4X6 wood...

thats a good idea for the car frame, and concrete and woods good for cold forging but for hot you need some chunk of metal the smoother the better. any imperfections on the anvil surface will show in the work.

any one else want me to make them a seal? Jesse I'm guessing you'll want a dragon?!

well i went ahead and did a mock up regardless what do you think jess.

and dont think i forgot about yo rhino, here ya go.

i think you did a bang up job bro. i like them.

thanks man feel free to use yours.

Been Awhile, BUt I'm still Alive

Greetings Everyone,    Well it's been awhile. As things go, life carries us all in different directions from time to time but you always find your way home sooner or later. Well, life ain't all fun and games, but right now, things are going good. I have restarted my writing on my book again, and as I learn more about about some of the ROle-playing games I have gotten into, I am seriously thinking about rying to create an actual Zombie Survival Role-playing game. But have not set any time…
