YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!
so while researching for my zombie hunter con costume i fell in love with post apocalyptic cosplay. everything from fallout props to original works. it's just such a cool look and you can do anything with it. it requires little money if you know how to scavenge and helps prepare all of us for what it's gonna be like after they rise. i felt wickedzombies was a good place to bring this to help expand the site. so with all that in mind I'm going to be posting cool stuff i make and design here. and if you catch the bug or maybe if you already have it then i welcome you to post your stuff here too.

hey thanks man and in the mean time. i had some free time today and decided to make a trip to home depo and i got supply's to make a few of these.
there just pieces of wooden 7/8 wooden dowel cut to about 2 2/3 inches. wrapped in red duct tape. originally i was going to paint them still got the paint but it got to cold to wet and to dark. the tape is just easier and the natural folds look more like shells. i may paint it one day but not today. only problem is the tape is cheap and tears easily. but there's always more.
the collar on the top there is just some of my favorite aluminum tape.
and thats just a cheap metal washer that was just the right size.
well i got enough supply's to make six shells with enough dowel and red tape for a lot more. i would just need more washers. but this fills up my carrier and gives one extra to play with.
only after putting the shells in do a realize some of the pvc holders were a little to tight. i should have spent more time forming them. especially the center one. way to tight i had to spend a half hour sanding down one dowel so it would fit. i would have liked to just reform the PVC. but it was to well glued in couldn't get it out. but its a prop so its fine. but now i know what to do if i ever want to build a real one.
it would probably look better if i remove a few shells, like I'm running low. but for right now and just the simplicity of keeping all the shells together, ill leave them in the holders.
they wont fool anyone up close but from a few steps back they look great and thats good enough for me. if i had to add something i would like to get little copper nails to put into the center of the washers so they look like firing pins, but you know thats just icing on the cake. so what do you guys think?
It looks good...Looks like some paint and you've got yourself a finished product...Or that's what I would do...(LOL)
they look awesome dude. from a distance you would swear they were real shells.
yeah i may paint them but gotta wait for it to warm up. we got hit with even more snow, already over a foot. god damn i hate winter.
we are due for more here in ohio to. i like winter but the snow makes it such a bitch at times.
yeah we've had the coldest winter in like 200 years here. were nj its not meant to be in the single fucking digits.
Coldest that TN has had in a while...Hell the last few years I was going out in the middle of winter with a T-shirt on...This winter is like it's making up for all the shit before hand...(LOL)
Hell it's been colder then a witch's tit here the last couple of days...If it doesn't warm up soon they'll be calling Tennessee the home of the Queenies, cause every male's pecker is gonna be in their bellies...(ROFLMAO)
i hear ya brother. one thing good from all this cold shit in ohio is it will kill off the surplus of fleas and ticks. since our weather is usually mild in winter. they tend to breed out of control until every house in the country is invaded.we had to go through it every summer. even homes with no pets were invaded by them. but this should kill a hell of a lot of them. now most states allow the use of good pesticides in them. not this corn pong pussy state. even the exterminators will tell you that it may work or it may act like fertilizer for them and its a crap shoot. so this should even put a dent in their business to. LMAO!!! chinsy fuckers.
TRUE!!! They've been really bad this year, this should help...
i ALWAYS hated having to watch for ticks on my pant legs when i went squirrel hunting. this summer should be awesome because the freeze will have killed off a great portion of them. the ONLY good thing about all this snow.
okay so since the majority of my costume, the robe. is being held up by all this snow i decide to do a little more detail work and do this.
followers of this thread might recognize this as the machete i made that awesome sheath for. well the sheath was so cool i had to bring the blade up to match it.so i grabbed my cheap drimel knock off and started engraving.
for those of you not fluent in dead languages thats Latin. it reads 'Flectere si nequeo superos, Acheronta movebo'. which translates to "If I cannot move heaven I will raise hell" the perfect saying my character would have inscribed on his blade. it fits the religious angle and the post apocalyptic humor angle.

Greetings Everyone, Well it's been awhile. As things go, life carries us all in different directions from time to time but you always find your way home sooner or later. Well, life ain't all fun and games, but right now, things are going good. I have restarted my writing on my book again, and as I learn more about about some of the ROle-playing games I have gotten into, I am seriously thinking about rying to create an actual Zombie Survival Role-playing game. But have not set any time…
